Unpopular opinion, but the obsession a lot of saints fans with Rohl is something else, I must say. A lot of fans seem to have decided he's the only option, so god help if we end up with someone else. Not saying he's a bad option, but damn, I'm sick of hearing about him Wouldn't even be in the conversation if he hadn't been here before imo...
I think the reason behind all the talk is that he is very likely to be our next manager, rather than all Saints fans are desperate for it to be him. I'd rather Cooper if I could pick, but everything suggests it is going to be Rohl. I'd be very surprised if it isn't and think the only thing that would get in the way is if he goes elsewhere.
At this point I think saints fans are just plain desperate. Not for anyone in particular just for someone, something, anything.
Yesterday was the best. He still thought we play out from the back all the time (I think we did twice all game but no suicidal moments) and he jumped on them saying that is why we are where we are and we need to stop it. We did. We are still ****.
Yeah very surreal. And he gets paid for providing his knowledge He obviously read some RMartin comments & used that throughout. I was pretty angry with him at the start but Saints “won” me over & any dismay I had of him was well & truly binned.
I thought he had been doing well there? Though I hadn't checked for months tbf. Was it a typical second half of the season collapse?
Never been one to potentially be ITK before but I've got it from someone I trust that Rohl ain't happening. It's between Gerrard and another foreign manager based abroad. SR haven't decided between the two yet
Rumour I read was that he fell out with chairman and staff, or something. Doesn’t surprise me as he pissed off a lot of people at Saints too.
Lens won away tonight with a defensive display against Lyon, going against Will Still’s preference to press and be on the front foot. Obviously adapted to play against a team of better quality
Lol, so predictable. Wonder how many times they were winning first half, only to capitulate in the second.
