Unpopular opinion, but the obsession a lot of saints fans with Rohl is something else, I must say. A lot of fans seem to have decided he's the only option, so god help if we end up with someone else.

Not saying he's a bad option, but damn, I'm sick of hearing about him <laugh>

Wouldn't even be in the conversation if he hadn't been here before imo...

I think the reason behind all the talk is that he is very likely to be our next manager, rather than all Saints fans are desperate for it to be him.

I'd rather Cooper if I could pick, but everything suggests it is going to be Rohl. I'd be very surprised if it isn't and think the only thing that would get in the way is if he goes elsewhere.

Don't think that has much to do with it seeing as we have new owners and chairman etc

Yeah. Exactly this

At this point I think saints fans are just plain desperate. Not for anyone in particular just for someone, something, anything.

Must admit I've missed Gary Birtles commentary this season. Always a good laugh.
Yesterday was the best. He still thought we play out from the back all the time (I think we did twice all game but no suicidal moments) and he jumped on them saying that is why we are where we are and we need to stop it. We did. We are still ****.

Yeah very surreal. And he gets paid for providing his knowledge <doh> <laugh> He obviously read some RMartin comments & used that throughout. I was pretty angry with him at the start but Saints “won” me over & any dismay I had of him was well & truly binned.

I thought he had been doing well there? Though I hadn't checked for months tbf.

Was it a typical second half of the season collapse?

Sounds like it. 7 defeats in their past 8 games apparently.

Lens won away tonight with a defensive display against Lyon, going against Will Still’s preference to press and be on the front foot.
Obviously adapted to play against a team of better quality :emoticon-0105-wink:
