I’d hate to think how much relegation will cost the club in lost revenue.

If I was Acun, I’d be having conversations with Selles this week and telling him what the starting 11 will be, and it wouldn’t have Joseph up front or McLoughlin at left back.

We might finally get to see Sinik then.

Just saw this on a pub’s page on Facebook advertising the Championship this weekend!
TBH, if Dr Strange came on TV at 12:30 on Saturday, said, “we’re in the end game now!” Held one finger up, it wouldn’t really surprise me!

The final day of the Championship season has the potential to be an all-timer in terms of entertainment.

Bristol City (5th, 67 points, +4 GD) home to Preston (20th, 49 points, -11 GD). Bristol City need a result to guarantee a play-off place, Preston need to go there and win to be sure of survival.

Burnley (2nd, 97 points, +51 GD) play Millwall (7th, 67 points, 0 GD) at Turf Moor, Burnley are looking to win and hope Leeds drop points to secure the title, Millwall need to go there and win to have a hope of getting into the play-offs.

Coventry (6th, 66 points, +4 GD) are at home to Middlesbrough (9th, 64 points, +10 GD) knowing that a win will keep them in the play-offs unless Millwall go to Burnley and absolutely pump Burnley. Boro know they need to win to be in with a chance.

Derby (19th, 49 points, -8 GD) home to Stoke (18th, 50 points -17 GD). A win keeps them up but a draw could put them bang in trouble given they’re only one point above the bottom three as things stand. For Stoke, if they lose at Pride Park and Preston, Luton + Hull also win, they are down.

Plymouth (23rd, 46 points, -36 GD) need a 14 goal swing to survive at home to Leeds (1st, 97 points, +64 GD) with Daniel Farke’s men still pushing all the way to reach 100 points and win the title.

Portsmouth (16th, 53 points, -13 GD) are mathematically safe but could still relegate Hull City (22nd, 48 points, -10 GD) if they stop the Tigers from winning at Fratton Park.

Blackburn (8th, 65 points, +5 GD) away to Sheff Utd know a win and draws for two of Bristol City, Coventry & Millwall will see them into the play-offs.

Luton (21st, 49 points, -22 GD) travel to West Brom outside the relegation zone by a single point but with worse GD than any of the sides around them barring Plymouth, making a win at The Hawthorns feel essential.

Every game is kicking off at 12:30 on Saturday and we cannot wait!

Exactly the kind of ridiculous thinking that's got us where we are.

... and it's actually even more complicated than that!! eg us and a draw, plus other permutations.

its weird going into the last weekend in the bottom 3 but knowing a 0-0 draw could well be enough.
id almost be more concerned in Prestons position, knowing we will probably lose to a play off chaser , and they are relying on a team with nothing to play for to beat us...whenever people say about GD, i always think oh it hardly ever comes to that, its not that important, and it could well be the thing that actually saves us..

Bristol didn't get a shot on target until the 75th minute, so lets hope Saturday was their main focus.

even if preston lose 5-0

we still need to not lose ourselves

i just cant see it all

it'll be a close game, probably level with 40 mins to go

a lucky bounce, deflection etc will see portsmouth go into the lead
we will then make about 5 subs bringing any attacking player we have onto the pitch

we go close a few times, maybe even hit the woodwork

then portsmouth have a 3 v 1 counter and make it 3-1
and its good bye hull city

the players slumped on the turf at full time

we've seen it all before

Yes, but this could be the day their luck changes. A win would be fantastic but a draw could be good enough depending on other results. Whatever happens will anyone be looking forward to watching this team in any league next season? Another summer with major changes needed perhaps at the very top if they lose on Saturday.

With players coming back from injury, a LB, CM and ST should be the main targets, but I don't think we need a massive rebuild - assuming we don't sell 10 players.

We likely will sell / let go around 10 players. Squad is way too big and we need to strengthen where you say too. Just hope it's the right players that we end up selling / letting go.

That's affectively the 9 loanees/players out of contract this summer. Assuming we hold onto the majority of the rest, it doesn't feel like a massive rebuild's needed. Different story in L1, of course.

Crooks has to start doesnt he? And hope he doesnt actually move like a tree for once

Palmer always plays better off the bench
