Increased attendances were always going to happen as soon as the Allams were gone, but completely filling the stadium? Nah, the speed and size of the turn-around was very impressive and I don't buy for one second that just anyone could have achieved the same.

Genuine question, what is it that you think acun has done that anyone else couldn't have, or would have had difficulty doing? You've obviously got more experience then most when it comes to brand/product promotion, marketing etc so be interesting to hear what you think acun did / said they makes you think that

The transfers have been mostly ****e and there’s been no investment in infrastructure, despite him saying there would be. He’s a bullshitter. He has ****ed most of it up.

He's a PR man, he's become very wealthy selling both himself and his shows, he did the same for us, getting the feel-good factor back as quickly as he did was very impressive. Obviously, he then went on to make a lot of poor decisions, but that doesn't take away from the turn-around he presided over and despite us being poor at the moment, we still sold out the stadium on Saturday.

I can because its happened before in our history. Look how we all flocked to the City Hall to welcome Tim Wilby and David Lloyd and our gates more than doubled over night on the back of the notion that they were not Fish @ Dol*n.
Look how that ended up, then the Sheffield Mafia who we all welcomed with open arms because they cannot be any worse than Lloyd and Wilby........and look how that ended up.
Even way back when Don Robinson came, following a horrible sequence of seasons of neglect under Chris Needler, Robby too doubled the crowds and filled the ground simply by telling us what we wanted to hear, jam tomorrow, and we all gobbled it up.
Acun couldn't go wrong when he took over because the situation at City between the owners and the fans and become toxic, the crowds were bound to increase simply because we had new owners.
All he had to do was cut admission prices, tell us 'wonderful people' that he loved us, etc, on top of the free holidays to Turkey to boost his social media image and the crowds would come back, because football is a very sellable commodity. people want to go to a live game, its not rocket science.
As it stands this morning with the club staring league one in the face and up to our eyeballs in debt, all I can see that Acun has improved is the quality of the catering on the concourse, and Id even doubt if that was down to him either.

I get all that, it's great and was also well needed. But it's something that others could have done quite easily imo. The bar was set so low and anything would have made big differences quickly. One of the reasons acun was interested in the club was the fans relationship with the then owners as he saw it as a perfect opportunity to score big wins, quickly and cheaply ( in the grand scheme of things ). I think he's done some great thinks fans wise and PR wise, but i don't see any of it as difficult and unique. The stuff he really needed to do well he's completely ****ed up over and over..... I really wish he'd but I don't think he will :(

He’s ****ed up the football side of things for definite, but that’s forgivable. So long as he owns his mistake and makes it right financially and doesn’t just dump us leaving us facing administration whilst he tries to claw every penny of his own back.

If he builds a competitive promotion worthy team next season then that’s fair enough right?

Acun has obviously done a lot wrong but his PR and marketing has been excellent

Not sure why people want to deny this now

I wasn't there waving my little Turkish flag though

When Lloyd came in our average attendances went from 3,413 to 4,684, which was rather less impressive. The reality is, that our attendances were absolutely terrible from the early 70's all the way until AP took over.

Acun at face value has made decisions with his heart and not his head; people who make emotional decisions rarely get it right. In grasping at straws I really hope we are still a Championship club come Saturday and he has the opportunity to stabilise, and see us retaining our main players. Relegation and a fire sale otherwise may be on the horizon.

Entirely -> wholly; completely; totally; fully; solely; only.

    That's plain daft.

    Ultimately, yes. Entirely, no.

Do people really belive Acun is responsible for everything? He chose which players to buy, how much to pay for them, and everything else. Makes you wonder why we have hundreds of staff members.

There's a world in which, hopefully, we get the result we need on sat, then over the summer we sell some players, bring some in and keep some of the younger players with promise and then get back some star players through the season and have a comfortable mid table finish and all talk of Acun being a nob fades to dust.....here's hoping

I'll have some Robinson's jam please, two promotions, and a trading profit in every one of his seven years with us, even after having to spend a shed load of cash on BP after the Bradford fire report came out. :emoticon-0138-think
