Any ideas about who would want to buy us? A club that doesn’t own their stadium , will have a lot of debt, will lose al lot of our better players if we go down and if we did, a lot of our somewhat fickle fan base will disappear. Not the most attractive proposition for anyone to put money into.
All those same things were true when Allam sold the club to Acun. We’ve never been the most attractive proposition. People didn’t want to tolerate the Allams’ ownership so why should supporters be happy with Acun’s? I just hope he does sell. He’s done more damage than good.
So, if he does go, who will want to buy us? It won’t be a local. At best it would be a chancer. Whatever Acun has or hasn’t done he has got the fans back. Over 24,000 there yesterday, 22,000 five days previously. That is at the end of a terrible season, especially at home. Fans had left in droves during the Allam’s latttervdays.
that's because Allam (****) charged full price for seniors and children and in doing so broke Premier League ticket rules
How in ****s name did we beat Sheff U 3-0 at their place and look class in doing so then this ****ing happen? Matazo injury seemed to be a bit of a silent silver bullet to the season. Absolutely ****ing shocking, Acun has made some horrific decisions and then add the poor fortune on top of it? ****ing doomed. I fear Pompey is a line in the sand, lose and the club is ****ing toast, win and we might be okay next season with returning players to steady the ship, also Selles was never the right choice, could have had Alex Neil and look what he’s done. ****ing cataclysmic from start to finish, pass is going in the dustbin waste of time money and effort that can be better spent elsewhere.
I keep hearing ‘he got the fans back’. So what? The atmosphere has been ****e all season. People leave at 80 minutes regularly whether we’re winning, losing or drawing. How many will stay next season for League One? Increased attendance is about the only positive since he’s been owner. Kim Jong-un could’ve bought us and attendances would’ve increased compared to the Allams. He’s put the club in the ****. Him not being Assem Allam isn’t good enough. He’s been a terrible owner.
The atmosphere has indeed being. poor at many games, and I have often mentioned the early exodus only for some to say it is up to people what they and they all apparently got somewhere they need to be on a Saturday afternoon or whatever other time we kick off, but the atmosphere and support was very good yesterday. But it brought no response from the players.
You wouldn’t want to leave if you was told you was really winning 7-0 you would stay incase you got another.
A lot of our fans would decide the game is over and leave instead of staying to applaud a good performance. Then find out that under Kim the first one to stop clapping would be hauled off and executed.
A cun no longer feel the love. I licali will plan to soon be free. The tiger is dead - but I live on, Just like you my true love, my Fenerbahçe.
agreed - but once people stay away / lose interest it takes something for them to return and reducing prices again wasn't the catalyst - the Allams selling up and going did see that change again
Acun's clearly ****ed up plenty of things and is entirely responsible for the position we're now in, but the one thing he has done a fantastic job of, is getting the fans back.
The last manager responsible for signings at Hull City was Steve Bruce, every manager since has had to work with what they got, with only very limited input.
You dont think that was the easiest job of them all though? I always felt like thousands of fans were waiting for the Allams to go before they'd come back. We could have had any muppet buy the club and smile for the cameras and we'd have got similar numbers in.
Yep. How much of ‘getting the fans back’ was due to Acun or due to the Allams going? He’s a PR man. He did the piss easiest thing he could’ve done which was present himself as better than the Allams. The bar was on the floor. He’s been woeful in every other area of his ownership.
I think you are understating what his marketing team and his people friendliness has done coupled with some fairly decent investment - ‘anyone can’t do this ‘ most would eff part of it up . We are desperate for a well run honest club but that seems to be slipping away at the moment .
