even if we stay up, I've never seen so much criticism for the players, manager and owner at once, after a single game. With the Allam’s it was a slow boil, or maybe I've just forgotten... But it's exploded like a powder keg on social media today. I don't see how this can work going forwards, the relationship between everyone at the club (fans, owner, players, manager) just seems to be dead to me. Such a dire situation.

It's a results game
IF we stay up and then have a good start to next season everyone will forget this season

The issue is, Acun isn’t that wealthy. He can’t afford to write off the shareholder loans or convert them to equity. We’re in a lot of debt to Acun Medya but Acun Medya borrowed that money to begin with from creditors. He won’t put Acun Medya at risk for the sake of City so administration could be a real possibility next season.

We’re not owned by some company worth billions like some clubs. We’re owned by a multi-millionaire charlatan who happens to be a football fan but who has no business running a football club.

If he wants his money back he won't get it by going in to administration. He'd only get it back by selling us as a Championship club. Unless he wants to cut his losses then administration or sell as a League 1 club

I think he wants to cut his losses.

Why?

Genuine question, ive heard lots of comments like this and best answer is - it's just a feeling
But nobody with these feelings knows Acun so it's a complete guess.

If anybody can backup these comments I'd love to know the reasons why

I reckon it will become a lot clearer after the final game, regardless if we stay up or go down.

That was my point about being careful what you wish for.

I agree that either administration or some sort of Bartlett arrangement with Pearson or Ehab managing a long and excruciating decline to a base line where the club can be sold - is far more likely than a quick clean sale

Saturday 3/5/25 12:30 kick off

well well well

who woulda predicted this ???

seems a simple job
Win this game !!
But how?? What does he need to do to change This weak as piss mindset?
Three at the back?
Two proper forwards and 4-4-****ing 2??
shooting practice?
I honestly have not seen such a weak a side as this wearing hull city kit for a long time.

thoughts?

We are down.

Bit of a side question, but why do we seem to have a lot of people stood around the dugout pre-match/at half time, dressed in city gear, not doing anything but chatting or waving at people in the crowd?

There's like 4 of them walking the half time contestant onto the pitch - surely one can do it. (I hope whatever happens on Saturday, that awful halftime entertainment is panned).

We couldn't score if the goal was seven metres tall and five metres wide, I'm gonna go for a 0-0 draw and the players slumped on the pitch at full time looking like they've just been told the tiger cub they've been sponsoring has been shot by Ted Nugent.

That seemed to be central to the strategy again today: four times we blasted it way over the bar from just outside the box. I hate watching us do that. It's been a problem for ages and we just never seem to improve on it. People who can't strike a ball and keep it down shouldn't be shooting from miles away. It's pathetic.

The games all seem to be of the same pattern. I remember at Reading, Rubin was not getting results with his preferred system, and he apparently changed it and they started winning.

Maybe a change of system might help, go to 352, play Egan/Hughes/Jones at the back. with Gelhart and Pedro up front. It might just get us more control in midfield.

I just feel something need to change to freshen things up.

The problem with that is who's playing left wing back ?

I realise that, I would try Joseph on the left, he would work hard and track back, probably Drameh on the right, as he has more pace than Coyle.KPL has been changed into a sort of wing back at Brentford and has been doing well, so Joseph has pace and a work ethic, might work.

We've got to start Pedro. With Gelhardt and Kamara as well.

They are the only players we have who can score goals and if we don't do that at least once we're down.

Can we bin Status Quo as well please, I'm sure they'll played it before the game as well yesterday.
