Would you be so keen on Rohl if he hadn't been Ralph's assistant?
I'm starting to get a bad feeling about him tbh. He's done well at Wednesday but over achieving with a lower end up championship club isn't that unusual in itself.
Coming into a club expecting to challenge for the league with the pressure that brings is an entirely different kettle of fish.
What he achieved with Wednesday last season was phenomenal. That was a squad of players that scraped promotion from League One via the playoffs, and which had little spent on it to improve it for the Championship. Their second half of the season form, spread over an entire season, would have earned them a playoff spot, with 74 points. And they were winless when he took the job.
Apart from that you have the whole Rangnick thing, plus the fact that he has been assistant manager at Germany and Bayern, and that a lot of clubs in Germany seem keen on him. Clearly he has a lot of respect over there already, despite his young age.
