Yes, didn’t classing yourself as a progressive make you feel oh so superior?
Reactionary is another word that has changed in meaning over the centuries.

Ooops. Is there an echo?

I've never really identified as a progressive. In some ways I can be, in others I can be reactionary. I see myself as a pragmatic centrist, though I accept that in recent years the narrative has been shifted to the right, largely as a counter-reaction to the loony left.

Most pride events still are, especially in this country - although I'll admit I'm not sure the point of pride is still there.
Seems like people are doing it as an excuse for an event nowadays.

But yeah you're right about anonymity online. As someone said earlier free speech shouldn't mean free from criticism or being punched in the face if you're a ****.

Me and my mate took our young kids to an outdoor trans event in Manchester once. It was quite funny. Lots of Karaoke and no shortage of comperes.




The joke was on us though, we've obviously lost our kids to the trans ways, and have to put up with weekly renditions of 'My Way'.

Palestine is home for the Palestinians. That is why they fight. Since 1948 Israel has taken more and more of their land. To be clear I don't support Hamas.

The land isn't barren. It's supposedly sat on huge reserves of oil and has a very nice coast line ripe for development. No wonder Trump would like to annex it. One day Israel and the Arab world will live in peace because in the long term there is no other solution.

I do think we're getting off topic though and getting close to getting the thread closed. I'm more than happy to discuss this privately if you want to continue it.

No probs , I’m not an expert I just see issues with both sides - which is ever the way with conflicts .

We are all reactionaries. We all reacted to City’s defeat on Tuesday.
