Yep, just checked this (you see it's a problem when you're arguing against people that know more than you, or have the resources to call you out on bullshit) - that's not USAID, and nothing to do with USAID, it's the government spending on data and 'on ground' information which is, y'know, actually really important.

The meme-name was to put them at ease.

The drama is to draw the dems all out in protest so that when the full magnitude of what is uncovered is made public, he’ll be able to smear them all with it - imply they all knew what was there and tried to obstruct the team from finding it.

There is something far worse at the center of all this. Worse than anything we’ve seen so far. It’s building to a crescendo.

Trump knows exactly what DOGE is going to find. Or at least has a very good idea how deep the rabbit hole goes. And he’s drawing the mostly oblivious stupid dems right into the most epic, carefully laid political trap of all time.

I see that the level of insane paranoid delusion has reached its old level overnight.

There is literally only one way to deal with it. Stop responding. When someone who NEVER deals with any counter argument just keeps flooding the field with paranoid Twitter-fuelled **** (exactly the way Trump does) there is NO POINT replying.

Stop responding. Stop trying to be rational. It's a complete waste of time. You're trying to persuade the unpersuadable.

If we all just stop responding, it will stop. It's the only way.

Which, I think, is the prime reason for Os posting misleading disinformation and blatantly false assertions regarding other posters on this thread. Such easily debunked nonsense is aimed at provoking a response that leads to a ban. His derogatory posts using "woke lefty" etc as insults deserve review but not a ban the posts are good for a laugh with all the faux indignation.

So what is your issue here? The civil liberties of a brown christian woman were ignored, she was locked up for 2 weeks in conditions the judge felt were inhumane, she was not allowed to work or collect benefits for 2 years. This feels like a loss of civil liberty. Why do you object to the non-white person appealing for compensation for government overreach? What is it about this person originally from another country who may not quite look like you that you object to?

Not speaking for Os but that's more than the MOD have paid out for soldiers who lost limbs. That's a ridiculous amount of money. 50k a week for being banged up in Yarls wood? Where do I sign up?

The judge has made the decision based on the evidence and the legal statutes argued in court. It has then been through a government appeal and remained this high.

Perhaps the real message here is governments should be better at processing immigration requests - this woman had submitted multiple applications- and stop grandstanding with people’s lives. Anyone who has lived here for 20 years - no matter their legal status - has been here long enough to deserve respectful treatment.

I agree we don’t want to pay out £100k for this ****, but I also don’t want to lock people up who are trying to go through legal processes.
Bottom line? Tory desperation to win votes costs UK £100k.
