Chuckled reading that. Said it myself earlier in the thread mate as I signed him on Football Manager for the lads
Have to say, you have some serious contacts in the club if what your posting tonight is correct. Like board level contacts as your hinting at verbal agreements that only a select few would be aware of
Sorry, terms of payment have been deferred. Loaned. Again exactly right in early assessment. Binned off and loaned / moved on. AA even did well when asked. Shame.
Just whispers mate. A few of us on here know that there are similar agreements with our better players.
How was Aouchiche 'binned off' when he was playing for the first team in important games? Was Watson binned off and banished because RLB had him playing for the reserves?
Well can the "few" enlighten us mere mortals with facts then? Saves a lot of heartache when our better players leave
What a strange comment. Simply stating that no-one knows what the club value Bellingham at or what if any offer they would accept.
He didn't for half a season until every single player was injured. Then he was called upon. I said he was shipped to the 21s to be moved on and he was
you’d think there’d be common sense and flexibility unless the player is adamant they want the move. Which you’d assume Jobe isn’t
You’d be playing absolute roulette with the clubs future agreeing a fixed fee in advance that one of the fastest developing players on the planet can go for. It would destroy the absolute fabric of a develop and sell and succession plan model.
That phrase is absolutely meaningless. He wasn't in the regular first team squad and never had been ... ... that doesn't mean he was banished as you keep claiming.
Wish I had the same confidence you lot had on the striker front. It’s notorious for not sorting itself out
To be fair, Sunderland having players to sell is alien to our fans. We've barely sold anyone for a decent fee in my life time. We've always seemed to miss the chance to sell and improve the squad and end up letting the player run down his contract. It's something we really need to get used to though. It's obviously not as simple as this but I love the idea of selling a player for let's say £25m every season and buying 3 players with that money and repeating the process.
This is where people posting as "in the know" cause problems. There's hints tonight that £23 million is the magic number for Jobe. This will be picked up on and within a few hours will be gospel
I think the club have earned our trust when it comes to getting good deals with outgoings Whether there’s a personal agreement with Jobe or not isn’t important really because the fee will be a big one.
He was. We had an injury crisis. He was only played in the under 21s. He didn't make the bench week on end. Then he did when desperate. Haway man. Then he was loaned to Portsmouth! The entire description of how he has been handled has been on here , all the way though. It's accurate to the timeline of him moving on too.
