The obligation to buy will mean that we've already agreed a contract and wage with him upon promotion.

I'd imagine that if we don't get promoted, no such agreement is in place, and so we'd need to negotiate a new salary which one would guess would need to be quite a bit less.

Aye that’s right, the reports from journos said he’s signed a 4 year deal for if we go up

Even if we don’t go up and Le Fee is quality, I’d imagine we’ll be moving a few on in the summer that’ll generate plenty of funds.. nothing to say we couldn’t splash out £10m+ on a permanent at the end of the season with promotion bonuses etc structured similarly to some of the deals we’ve done in recent seasons just with more of an upfront fee. Understand he’ll probably be on big wages but he’s willing to come to the championship to play football so never say never!

Hopefully Enzo is training with the lads this morning and then will do the media stuff this afternoon. Announcement c. 5pm

I agree with the sentiment of this, and you'd hope we could find another few of similar potential if we didn't go up this year. However, we have been a little lucky with Jobe and Le Fee both having close ties with people within the club. I'm not sure either would be here without Dodds/Speakman and Le Bris. I guess the hope is that now we've shown ourselves to be a good home for players of that ilk then more will come without needing the close ties to some of the staff etc.
Yeah that is the counter argument, decimate this squad and it can take years to recover

I was hoping to see a Scarf pic by now. I really hope he's available to play tomorrow. That would do him and us the world of good before Burnley. Same goes with Samed

Not sure it's lucky to employ people with good football relationships and contacts, would've been part of the thinking in employing them you'd think

That's what our likely 'absolute worst case' scenario of starting XI next season if almost every promising player we have is sold following failure to get promotion. So that would be the base point to build from - with upwards of £100m banked in transfer fees. In my view that's not all that bad. The only reason it would take years to recover would be if we perform a hell of a lot worse in the transfer market than we ever have under this ownership IMO.
