I like Riis a lot, sounds like he might be available at a knock down fee. I think he's a bit less spectacular than Isidor without having to change the playing style, but is probably more of an aerial presence and can link up play a little better. Maybe we can give them Browne back as a makeshift in the deal.
Not sure Browne would fancy a return and I still think he’s got a part to play here. Unlucky so far with the injuries

What’s properly mental about having to find a way to pick three from Le Fee, Rigg, Jobe and Neil is that Salis Abdul Samed was a regular in the champions league last season and is back from injury this weekend.

Absolutely insane options.

Samed was Ligue 1 team of the year.

CM in the French league that is something major. That league breeds top end CMs.

Outrageous isn't it! That midfield, through rotation or in game subs has the potential to dominate in this league.

Absolutely never thought we'd be linked with a 20m player this window! Very exciting times.

If Le Fee comes in and Samed gets fit, Browne is somewhere between 6th and 8th choice (depending on where Aleksic and Adil factor in). I don't think that's what he signed up for.

Reactions: Nads
Not being funny. Did we even ever make a signing that was this universally rated around Europe, even when we were in the premier league?

I assume this signing will edge Adil Aouchiche towards the exit door. Aleksic will play the odd cameo and hopefully some u21 games to get him up to speed for next season

Plus there is no way we have a fully fit midfield at any point in the next 20 games, it just doesn't happen

Yeah, Adil will be gone and to be honest, I'm not sure Samed will ever play. But I just don't see much of a future for Browne here other than as a bench warmer (which is great depth if he's happy with that).

Never heard of him before a couple of days ago but it's clear from the reaction and his pedigree that he's a very exciting player to have onboard. Huge credit to the club's negotiating ability which has been top drawer since Speakman joined but even so this is impressive.

Exciting because it's a preview of what to expect when we do go up whether it's this season or not. Clearly the ambition is there to have a serious go at it and we're not going to be there to get a participation medal.
