I had a really bad one last September. That was also attached with flu like symptoms. Only time I have took time off graft. Couldn't get out of bed for 4 days. Was a state. This time, none of that but worst cough I have ever had. Like you say, in the morning is the worst. Waking the house up, having a coughing fit FFS

It’s awful mate the coughing can really take it out of you, hoping it clears quickly and you’re not bed bound again! Not what you want over Xmas when you want to enjoy a good sup

Just asking… but could it be Covid? My son had it about 4 weeks ago…
I've tested myself for it because believe it or not I've never had it and our lass has had it 4 times. (I must be an alien). I always seem to get bad colds and flu this time of year.

Can’t be arsed to get into the politics of it because you always get called a conspiracy theorist or whatever but since my COVID booster my immune system seems to be shot to bits. Never tested positive for it either and only 31. I’ve had a few really bad chest infections last few years and been coughing up mucus for months on end several times. Ended up on co-amaxiclav last year after 3 other types of antibiotics and that still couldn’t shift it. The cough goes away but the mucus on my chest doesn’t. Genuinely just got bored of going back to the GP so often they’re useless so i’ve learned to live with it. Really takes it out of me at times and it’s a nightmare on a morning when I’ve been lay on my back all night.

Its no conspiracy mate, its your opinion and also its like we are starting to see the after effects a few year later.I know loads of lads and lasses that were sporty, played cricket, football etc all have said their recovery time takes longer, all have since admitted that since the "Jabs", they're shot to bits. Seemingly very litte immune system. Little colds they used to shake off now floor them etc.

Loadsa people I know are laid up with it, hopefully I don’t get it. Won’t be having anymore jabs after the 2020/21 three.
I've had 4 jabs and that's it for me, as I've said I've never had it so I think I just carry on the way I'm going. Had pneumonia about 7 years ago and I think it's a part of the reason why I get bad colds and flu symptoms this time of year. (Probably not but it's what I believe)

I believed everything that was reported in 2020/21 and got three. I’m a helluva lot more sceptical about it all now.

Just got a sore throat in the last hour or so. May well have to lubricate it.

My oppo at work has been really ill for the last 2 weeks with this bug. Theres still a positive though. Fat b*stard has lost half a stone <laugh>
I've lost about the same so far, which is great timing and leaves plenty of scope to put weight on when we go away in a couple of weeks.

Every cloud and that :1980_boogie_down:

3 weeks and counting for me.

Not much of a cough but a constant stuffy nose and bad head.

They proper work mate. One of the several times I had covid I couldn’t clear chest and they did that as well.

They are magic.

I'll give out a try. Thought they just helped clear a blocked nose.

Hoping my antibiotics kick in asap. Chest is worse than ever tonight and will end up sleeping sitting up.

Aye they are usually over the counter. Once in Boots I had to do a questionnaire for them ha.
This; s what I've found out about the 2 types

Key takeaways:

Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) and Sudafed PE (phenylephrine) are decongestant medications that treat nasal and sinus congestion.
Sudafed is generally more effective at relieving nasal and sinus congestion than Sudafed PE. But it has more risks.
Sudafed has some purchase restrictions, so it’s only available behind the pharmacy counter. Sudafed PE is readily available over the counter on pharmacy and grocery store shelves.
