That's going around, anyone got it ? Had a bit of a cold over Christmas but nowt major. Yday, couldn't stop coughing and today it feels like I have been to a 2 week all inclusive in Chernobyl's reactor. Never coughed like it, nearly passed out due to the violent nature of it.
I’ve woke up with a ridiculously sore throat, all bunged up. Totally different to how I felt yesterday
I never really go but this coughing was worst I have ever had. Mucas with streaks of blood in it. Did an e consult appointment and they got me in at 9. 10 days antibiotics and chest X ray.
Mine started with a sore throat. Nowt major. Managed to have a few beers over Xmas eve and Xmas day then yday it went downhill
See, I haven't had that. Managed to get about and see family and be sociable. The chest is completely game over though. Worst than the COVID I had years ago.
Not get yourself to a docs and see if antibiotics can shift? I know mine needs some other help than just time.
I should really but you know the score with trying to get an appointment. I keep thinking I'll be over it by the time I get one and I'll just be wasting their time
Mine was sound like. Just logged on at 8. Put my symptoms in and they said a doctor will ring you back after 08.30. They ran 10 mins later, but I missed their call. Then got an immediate text to say an appointment has been made for you at 09.00. Can not fault it really.
Nah, had it before and it's not like that. COVID has me done in, in bed, no energy. This is just a chest collapser.
Our house has had it. All recovered but we are still coughing 6 weeks on. My mam has a chest infection. Every time I get a cold, since covid, they all go to my chest.
Can’t be arsed to get into the politics of it because you always get called a conspiracy theorist or whatever but since my COVID booster my immune system seems to be shot to bits. Never tested positive for it either and only 31. I’ve had a few really bad chest infections last few years and been coughing up mucus for months on end several times. Ended up on co-amaxiclav last year after 3 other types of antibiotics and that still couldn’t shift it. The cough goes away but the mucus on my chest doesn’t. Genuinely just got bored of going back to the GP so often they’re useless so i’ve learned to live with it. Really takes it out of me at times and it’s a nightmare on a morning when I’ve been lay on my back all night.
Aye that's what the doc said to me this morning. Said it's a really bad chest infection but wants a chest x-ray too.
I had a really bad one last September. That was also attached with flu like symptoms. Only time I have took time off graft. Couldn't get out of bed for 4 days. Was a state. This time, none of that but worst cough I have ever had. Like you say, in the morning is the worst. Waking the house up, having a coughing fit FFS
I, around us they’ve all had it or got it, lasts about 5 weeks, not chest though, just back of throat, feels like loads of strings hanging down making it tickle all the time, makes you cough your ring up.
I've got it now, had the cough for about 3 weeks. I'm on day 4 of a 7 day course of antibiotics but thus far they haven't made a dent in it.
This is the first time I havnt had the covid jab. I am thankful I didn't let my kids have it. (No particular logic behind this, just gut feeling).
