I just worry this approach would see a lot of the squad think that we have zero ambition and would push to leave.

Get a decent, respectable guy in now, and start improving performances and morale, and we'll be ready to hit the ground running next August.

I suspect many players will already be thinking about leaving at this point. Sticking with Martin this long doesn't exactly scream ambition either.

If there's someone available who we consider a high level target then I'm happy with that but I don't want to work our way down a list of managers saying no and end up making a "he'll do" appointment.

If our top 3 targets don't want then I'd rather not throw an expensive target and wait til later in the season where there might be more options.

Won’t suggest anyone I believe is very unrealistic, which rules out Moyes, Potter etc.

I’d like Danny Rohl if we’re thinking long-term, but would also be pretty good with Steve Cooper or Carlos Corberan

Reactions: Le Tissier's Laces
Sheffield Wednesday fans are ****ting themselves now. I would feel bad for them but hey, we've been there with Poch and Koeman.

Rohl for me.
Kept Wednesday up last season against all the odds and a ****e owner. Current 9th this season.
Wednesday fans love him.
As an outsider if we can’t get in a long term manager, I’d take Benitez as now chance a Moyes or potter come in.

Reactions: Le Tissier's Laces
On a serious note, I had faith in him til half a dozen games ago, based on the players' apparent fondness of him and his style. But versus Villa and again tonight, it was clear that the players are mentally fatigued. It's no surprise given the demoralising effect of giving so many stupid goals away. Worst performance I've ever seen from KWP tonight. And that speaks volumes alone.

I moaned recently about the amount of first minute and last minute goals we've conceded under Martin, so its fitting that Spurs scored in both the 1st and 48th minutes tonight. So bizarre how this team lacks concentration at the beginning and end of halves. Every game.
