Has to be lallana for me. Low risk option. He wants to coach, give him until the end of the season to see if he can get acdecent game plan going, restore some semblance of confidence. If he does hand him a contrct foe next season, if it does not work, get a promo expert in from the Championship ship
Pretty much this. I don't know these managers well enough to pick but I want someone who can organise a defence. Not necessarily a defensive manager but someone who's shown they can make a team defensively sound. We've had quite a few of the same players in our defence for a while now (KWP, Stephens, Bednarek) and we've consistently conceded a lot of goals. I want to know for certain whether that's been because of the players or the managers.
While we're at it, if we're spending money in January I'd like character and mental strength to play a big part in any recruitment.
Lallana/Calderwood as long term caretaker for me. No need to rush into making an expensive appointment when the (league) season is already over.

I just worry this approach would see a lot of the squad think that we have zero ambition and would push to leave.
Get a decent, respectable guy in now, and start improving performances and morale, and we'll be ready to hit the ground running next August.
