Thought he was a lazy fat turk and a scattergun signing? One we made to get him off Feners books? Seriously, if he would come back in the shape he was in last season's then I'd have him in a heartbeat. If he's going to take another 3 months and a preseason to knock him back into shape, then he'd be better off in super lig.
We don't have the time to wait for an out of sorts Tufan or a 19 year old from Chelsea to get up to speed in January. Would be a total different situation in the summer.
Think Ozan even as just an impact sub would probably help us get over the line. But that's dependent on him having the heart for it.
Theres no way he comes But how could you even think of turning down signing tufan? We are bottom of the league for christ sake with second lowest goals scored Tufan is so much better than our ****e, he scored almost 20 league goals for us
Problem we’ve had with Tufan & other players, such as Omur, is that we’ve had Managers who are overly obsessive about implementing their own playing style rather than implementing a system that would complement the player’s styles. Football & football management is quite simple.. Make the most out of the players you have by implementing a system that suits. Drop the ego you needed as a player. Learn, quite quickly, the skills of people management.
If we get Tufan back in January i’m certain he scores more than any of our current team even though he’s half a season behind.
Very much this, it’s why Phil Browns team worked so well, players playing a way that suited them. Specially after promotion and we started using that very unconventional 4-3-1-2.
Tufans the sort of player that makes watching football worth it For every moment of dross and turgidness One rare moment of magic feels amazing
I thought fofana was the initial target but when that didn’t happen we went for Washington. I’m sure there was 2 from Chelsea but ran out of time. Not that we was panicking of course
So what we need is an experienced striker who been there and done it and a good goal scoring record. Bring on Billy Sharp
