You do like your scapegoats, don't you. We are 2 points off being out of it by January and quite a few games to play. We weren't far at all off it at all last night, so time will tell.
The winter transfer window will run from 1st January to 3rd February 2025. You don’t live in Wales and shop on Amazon do you?
I don't think we are going down. We match most teams in general play, partly due to injuries we just don't have enough goals in the team at the moment.
Under decent management and a couple of plasters to cover our wounds we will be ok this season. Plenty of time to make a major turnaround. Top 6 is still a possibility. Hugely unlikely, but we wouldn’t be the first team to manage it from the mess we’re currently in after a managerial switch I don’t think?
Might have been. But that’s besides the point. Weren’t we bottom half on about 20 points right about now in 2007?
A bit better than I thought, I remember us being lower toward the relegation zone. Think we finished on around 75 points too, so a similar run of form to what we saw that year could see us just around the top 6 but falling a little short. Highly unlikely anyway but was just making the point that there’s a long way to go, anything is possible and just because we’re bottom now doesn’t necessarily mean we’re clear favourites for the drop.
We're currently 5/2 with the bookies to go down with 4 teams lower in the betting.(Plymouth,Portsmouth,Oxford and QPR) For what it's worth,I don't see us going down either but much depends on what we can muster up in terms of a proven goalscorer. If our current crop don't start finding the net we're going to have to rely heavily on the January window and it's no given we'll find one. No 'clanging chimes of doom' from these quarters but we need to start tucking them away...
It will, but the FACT is that the period it falls in is called Winter 2024 (as per the Met Office link but what do they know). January 2025 transfer window fine, but it is not Winter 2025 until December 2025. Pedantic maybe, but somebody has to keep the standards up on here
Would be very surprised if it's a permanent move. He surely needs and is ready for a loan for 6 months in L1 or L2 for experience and to test him. On 2 November 2024, Sellars-Fleming signed a new two-and-a-half year contract with Hull City.[6]
