Think Robins is the safe pair of hands if not sexy appointment we need right now, Cooper would be a bonus but can't see him coming here.
I don't think Tim was let down at all. His crazy tactics were all over the place and something the players weren't comfortable with. Even when the problems were clearly evident for all to see he refused to try and adapt or try a plan B.
Can see him sliding down the touchline on his knees at Oakwell, after a Sean McLoughlin winner in added time.
Whoever we appoint, at least he'll have a chance to influence any January arrivals which is going to be critical.
Robbie Keane and Thomassen are such random shouts to be included in this. Challinor wouldn't be a bad outside shout
We’re not in a position to take a gamble with someone with no experience of English football. Surprised not to see Schumacher on that list, but Robins and Cooper would seem safe bets. Bloomfield would be an interesting one, while Van Nistelrooy would certainly add a bit of stardust. I think the players will respond positively to whoever comes in as I feel they just don’t like the system and haven’t really warmed to Walter as a person. Any of the above will get a better tune out of our mid-table squad.
