Seeing our shooting I see why ! Still playing Rosie ball , 1 min to go and we pass it 5 times before putting it in the box - that’s why

We're in a strange and awkward situation now. The team is clearly going nowhere. We often play alright but still get comfortably beaten and we're not getting any better as the games go on. The club seems committed to sticking with the manager but he's completely lost the fans, so every game leads to renewed calls for him to be sacked, and the situation just remains consistently toxic. What next?

    It's simple.

Employ a manger who has experience in the Championship and sets up a team sensibly and we'll secure mid-table easily.

We've got a good group of players but the absurd system and reluctance to adapt to circumstances is foolhardy.

Aye he’s chasing McCannt’s record of 6 points out of 66.

I can't imagine a scenario where we just keep losing and Acun doesn't sack him. I know people are frustrated with Acun but he's not spiteful and he obviously doesn't want this. But I also can't see it turning around under Walter, so for me it's just a question of when he sacks him and we can start the process of turning it around. Suspect some of the players might be waiting for that too. Which makes it all feel a bit pointless at the moment, it's just a waiting game.

    He has to go.
Another loss against yet another poor struggling side.
Absolutely zero sign of the exciting, attacking, heart attack football. In fact, I now have no idea what 'Walterball' actually is (other than now and then our RB will pop up on the left hand side way up the pitch miles out of position, and at some point or other we'll have nobody hanging back to mop up a potential break away).
The players we now have really aren't as bad as bottom 3. We aren't playing to their strengths, nor making the best of what we have. It just isn't working, and it's not getting any better ... the form table confirms it's actually getting worse.

You nail all the key points here. Results are absolutely crap and we've played some terrible sides in getting them. And for us to be seeing such an extreme lack of attacking success when we specifically sacked and recruited a manager with that in mind is a shocking and embarrassing failure.

So, it's supposed to be sitting deep, inviting the press, then suddenly switching places drags someone out of position, creates a space and we can use that to break. It's worked sometimes when the CB drives forward...

But I don't see what that gives us if we choose to bypass our CMs entirely. I do wonder if we just don't have the players for it

Walter’s USP is that his system results in tons of goals at both ends of the pitch - hopefully with more in the opposition’s net than our own.

Truth is that we’ve scored a woeful goal a game average and are the third lowest scorers in the league.

It doesn’t work. We need to replace him.

We’re clearly just delaying the inevitable now and that’s never a good thing.

What I find very odd is that Walter will say we played well etc. after the match but during the game he acts like a disgruntled fan and throws his arms about…it’s your team playing your style mate.

At least Rosey used to constantly clap and cheer the side on.

The thing is, it is Acun who is delaying the decision. It is Acun who appointed him (after very stupidly sacking Rosey). Yet, as yet, there is no Acun Out thread. If he doesn’t act quickly, despite the goodwill he’s built up, feelings will turn against him. On the pitch, we are immeasurably worse than when he bought us and we had McCann in charge. Horribly worse, to the extent that I’m losing the will to watch.

Grasping at straws now but are there benefits to being relegated from an owner's point of view? Thinking about Birmingham and their ability to spend big. Next season they could arguably be in a better position than before they went down. As I say, seriously grasping for a positive here.

There's the thing, I don't think we are playing his style. He wants us to play the ball forward quicker, and when we don't, he flaps. He flaps regularly though, and eventually you should realise you need to adapt if you don't have the staff to play how you want.
