I’ve read comments online this morning from Burnley, Sheff Utd and particularly Leeds fans saying they’re happy we won and keep winning as, like last night, we keep taking points off their promotion rivals. :emoticon-0112-wonde
They know that,at the minute,we're the team to beat!

more salt from the luton fans than there is in a fish n chip shop.

we cant celebrate a win as it looks like we've won the league,

may good thought we'd got rid of this sh1t in L1

Let's be honest, before they finished in the play offs 2 seasons ago, not even top 2, they had been another nothing club for a number of years. One season where they did well with their big players and awful style, they think they are Barcelona.

Tremendous win that, rode our luck at times but to be expected given their antics and the mostly inexperienced lads in our team.

For all that nobody took a backward step and a few of our lads grew up inside 90 minutes.

Onto Saturday with 6 points from 2 games where many would have been happy to avoid defeat in those games. We need to back it up with another win and really crank up the pressure on the teams immediately below us.

RLB absolutely owned Edwards by the way.
That's the best, and most important, bit . . . . it's nice that they're all below us :emoticon-0100-smile

A Sheff Utd 'mate' was telling me Ramazani, at Leeds, has a worse injury than they're letting on and could be out for three months. (Possibly a touch of wishful thinking tbh.) This is what usually happens to us so it's nice to see someone else losing one of the best players for a change.

apparently
like at hull at the weekend we have paid officals off

Trying to be unbiased, I think Luton pressed high and aggressive. Which is fine, it's a valid style of play. The problem is when ref doesn't keep it under control and allow the aggression to turn into constant fouling and **** play. It was definitely one of the biggest challenges we had so far this season. One we met and overcome.

It's only early in the season, but I think we have a good chance of pushing for the automatic promotion spots based on our performance so far, and the fact that we have players like Samed (who will help against physical teams), mayenda, Abdullahi, Huggins etc to come back into the team

That’s hilarious mind. Luton decided on a lap of honour after losing last night. Absolute wallopers.

Ha aye what the **** was that about.

I always wish Luton well due to the absolute disgrace when they were essentially sent to non-league and then Leeds were docked 10 points.

I think that galvanised their fans who used to be a quiet lot but now, well they have their flaws but seldom few sets of fans back their side as loudly and passionately.

A lap of honour after losing an early season league game is absolutely barking mad though, the fact they were lapping it up in the stands was bizarre.

I don't normally watch the opposition's podcasts but for some reason I did with this game, probably to see how they viewed us and the position they are in the league. Anyways each podcast, including the What the Falk, mentioned the playoff semi final at their place. Yes they did us that night but we were missing players and tbh the match was 18 months ago but they kept bringing it up!

My thoughts exactly. Couldn't believe a team languishing in 19th have done a lap of honour after a home defeat in October.

Here comes my big write up so fasten your seatbelts and get ready to disagree with everything I say.

I personally don’t agree with the riding our luck or anything like that. I just think we defended superbly. It’s quite evident that that’s what RLB wanted us to do and then hit them quick when we beat the press which we done maybe 5/6 times and made two count. It’s almost frustrating we conceded the way we did because of how well we defended.

Thought patto was excellent, though they need to work on his distribution. Other than that he made some brilliant saves and had top game management.

The back 4 defensively were superb. Struggled on the ball first half with Luton’s press but got a lot better second half.

Same with the midfield. Defensively sound but struggled to get us out. I thought Dan neil massively grew into the game and second game really helped us control the tempo and break up the game. I’m happy to give credit where it’s due and though he hasn’t been a world beater, he deserves some credit there.

The decision to start Rigg on the wing was right for me, Roberts would’ve been a passenger as Rigg did a lot of defensive work early doors til we got the break and he took it.

mundle was a great outlet for us and caused serious problems on the break for Luton.

thought Isidor grafted hard, but I’d like to see him get stronger holding the ball up. Specifically first half thought he was bullied a bit.

as for the subs, connolly looks like a player. So strong and always happy with the ball into his feet, the lads seem to like him already aswell. Roberts helped us get up the pitch and the latter stages and I have a soft spot for Hjelde, he’s only young and seems a very likeable character, the kind of people you need in a team

My man of the match is patto. But honorable mentions to Mepham, O’Nien, Mundle and Dan Neil for me

Agree completely with all of this except the MOM which for me was Mepham and I'd have had O'Nien second and Jobe third, with probably Patto 4th.

Unfortunately for us I think that will earn Luke a ban, he should get a prize for the best flying hero coming to the rescue. What a lad to have on your side on the pitch or off it.

Yes I'm concerned that Luke's jump will attract a lot of media attention (it was on the main Sky Sports page earlier) and end up with him getting a ban. I'm not saying it SHOULD. I just think it might.

Everyone's laughing at it (me included) but it was a pretty silly thing to do.
