Bingo. No one expected to take many points from these games, it's the manner of the performances and the lack of improvement from players who've played the majority of games now.

Some people seem to think that what's written on here will determine the fate of Tim Walter

It won't , results on the pitch will

At this point in time we just need to win a game

You can talk about how acun has ****ed over walter
But he will have himself to blame too

Unless he gets more of a balance between being pragmatic and kamikaze
    Hes gone

He needs to adapt to this higher level league
    Will he?

    Things get overcomplicated sometimes.

Yes, Walter has been dealt a poor hand in many ways and that definitely mitigates our poor form to an extent.

But there are some things that are totally irrelevant from the hand he's been dealt which are quite alarming: being totally outmuscled by Sheffield United and him seeming to either not notice or not care about that; public stropping at his players with big gestures of exasperation on the touchline as if to distance himself from their mistakes; the way he communicates to fans via interviews, telling us very little about things like injuries and coming across like it's a bit of a chore to him; the persistent rumours about players not enjoying working under him; the chaotic chopping and changing of the holding midfielder with no one who plays there ever being up to his standards.

The former doesn't nullify the latter, and the latter is all the sorts of things you typically get from a foreign manager who is sacked within four months and then never seen on these shores again.

I like Walter and want him to succeed but even I have to admit I think his theatrics on the touchline are unnecessary and make him look like a bit of a ****. I’ve never been a fan of overly-animated managers who reprimand their players in full view of the supporters and TV cameras. Guardiola does it and he’s the best manager in the world but I just think ‘save it for the dressing room’. I think a lot of managers and coaches could do with a lesson in classiness from Ancelotti. Stone-faced and cool on the touchline but a motivator and disciplinarian (if required) behind closed doors.

Id not even considered him, but I think it'd be a great appointment. Realistically though, I'm not sure A- he'd come or B - we'd afford him

Same thread advocating for Grant McCann and David Moyes.

One leaving a prem club with his stock high after winning a recent European trophy, and the other settled at a level 2 divisions below after a failed return to Peterboro.

Certainly some interesting perspectives on here at times.

I agree on the whole although regarding Guardiola I think he generally does it one-to-one with the player which I think is more reasonable, and his teams are always successful so it comes across more as a professional with high standards than a failing manager feeling the pressure and losing his rag.

Pedro Martins isn't pulling up trees at Al-Gharafa, maybe Acun should go back in for him..

I can't see him going any time soon. Think we probably can't afford to give him the bum's rush....Plus, didn't Acun say he'd be happy with a top 10 finish. There are 41 games to play. It may not look likely, right now, but a top half finish is still possible. Plus, who'd want to come here?

With an average managers salary in the Championship being three quarters of a million, and maybe City's salary not being far off that, I'd guess that there's several million managers out there who'd want the job and that's just in the UK.

Although I agree in principle with those that say he must get a win before the next international break or the one after at least but I think a significant increase in overall performance, especially once we have a few more of the transfer window signings in the team and coming off the bench, even if we are only getting draws and the odd narrow defeat, might just give him a little bit longer.
Having said that, I was caught by surprise by both Shota’s and Rosie’s dismissals.

Shota was more the timing immediately after the international break instead of before that was surprising, not so much the decision in itself.

Several million is a bit OTT, maybe a dozen. I can't think of many....If the big boss gets a hitchy trigger finger and starts to dispose of managers willy-nillly than the attraction factor is greatly reduced.
