Could do with giving him a new contract sooner rather than later. Because as he gets older the less homesick he will get and the big clubs will almost certainly start sniffing round him again. It's vital that if he wants to leave in the future, we get a big fee for him for PSR reasons.

 

Before the January window preferably. I could see him staring games and having an impact before then.

 

Can't see him being here beyond this season.

 

I understand Dibling's contract is a 2+1 with the one being a club option for an extra year. So, you'd think he's basically tied down until 2027 and the earliest we'd be 'pushed' to sell him in the summer of 2026, unless he attempts to kick up a stink sooner than then for any reason

 

I can. I can see a few avenues.

1. He is bought by a big club and loaned back to us in the Championship.
2. He keeps us up and enjoys the adulation enough that he stays one more year.
3. He gets a bad injury.

 

We scored 1 goal in August and it's up for PL goal of the month! They say it's quality not quantity....

 

In terms of PL he has had 2 good games off the bench so lets not get carried away and just assume he will play this well all season.

That said, I do think we should offer him a new contract that reflects the fact he is now part of the 1st team. Hopefully the fact he has left and returned once means he won't be the type to force a move.

 

Fair enough. I don't see any of those being particularly likely mind.

The build up was very much part of the goal, ball out to Dibling, delightful chip for the nod down by Lallana and in it went.

Yeah think I'll go to this one. Not interested in Everton in the cup or the City game and opening game to November is too large a gap between away games for my liking.

Though hopefully we get past Everton and get another one in the cup

 

I love London games. Unless there are strikes or engineering works I enjoy getting the train/tube. One of the advantages of being in the PL is that there are far more London teams.
