People can slate him all they like but the difference in the club, the signings they are making, not for his benefit for the benefit of the club, the way the club is run since he came in is unrecognisable.
Pretty immaculate interview to be fair. He does speak well (as would be essential in that role) but he strikes me as knowing exactly what he has been tasked to do and how he is going to get there. He has delivered this window, with the gaffer, the renewals and the signings. Everything has levelled up. He is doing a stellar job.
Aye could tell he was on his way when he got his haircut always prepped for photos annoyed we haven’t seen mephams yet he had his done on deadline day and we haven’t seen interview from aleksic either
Might be wrong but I think he and the striker got more pics today. Sure the serb was wearing a red and white cap.
No I know. Just seen a image of a photo shoot today outside the SOL. Abdullahi and another were in it.
Speakman done an absolutely incredible job since coming in. It's night and day from the Chuckle Brithers before him. Can't believe some people want him out, must be mental imo
Blows my mind mate. He hasn’t been perfect with the striker situation but my days he has utterly transformed the overall playing staff and value of the sporting side of the club. Look at it in very simple terms, the first team squad is worth easily 3 or 4 times what KLD paid for the club. When you look at it that simplistically, it’s insane.
Brilliant that. Why would we not want him in a leadership position? He talks so well, is considered, articulate and smart. He has a clear justification for everything and is clearly a man with a clarity on his own approach. I think he understands more and more the nature of this club, which is about hard work and honesty. If he keeps up the standards at the AOL we will all look back on his time as one of the most transformative in modern times.
It’s fairly obvious he’s very good at his job. Not flawless, the striker situation undoubtedly has detracted from the otherwise excellent work but to use a footballing comparison it’s a man of the match performance marred by giving away a really stupid penalty.
I was unhappy with not getting an experienced head up front, however, the squad that has been built has been very encouraging. I’ve not seen us have a stronger midfield in a long time. RLB is getting his stamp on things and having a major input it seems. Roll on next Saturday
I don’t think this has been posted (apologies if it has), more from Speakman: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p..._link&at_campaign_type=owned&at_medium=social Then more here from about 13mins 30secs: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0jjbtkl Think I’m making a bit of a pig’s ear of these links.
