Just seen Mason Greenwood has scored 5 in 3 over in France.

What a ****ing waste of talent on a grubby little scrote.
Very good player who’ll score 20+ in the league if he remains fit

8 goals and 6 assists in La Liga last season playing for a bang average Getafe side

22 y/o and bags of potential, shame he was an idiot over here.

Still seeing people saying this isn't a good deal and I just don't get it. Bang in line with other deals for similar players and 15% for a player who should theoretically move for 30m+ if he performs is huge.

Yep, genuinely think it was a great deal for all involved. Especially when you factor in the Mundle / Watson succession planning.

It is understood the sell-on agreement has been set at around 15 per cent, which could entitle Sunderland to a hefty windfall if Clarke develops successfully with Ipswich and moves on again in the future.

Samed looks a tremendous signing and I wouldn't be completely surprised to see him start vs Plymouth, seeing the others are all away this week and next week and he'll be training with the remaining lads this week.

The good thing is we don't need to bring him in if RLB doesn't want to.

Any idea why he’s not with Ghana? Has he not been making their squad with his loss of form?

Facts are with the Clarke deal, if we don’t get the 15% means he never really progressed and we likely did a great deal.

If he stays at Ipswich or is sold on for less than they paid, then he has stagnated or failed.

It’s a good deal.

Yeah it's solid enough. Before I got the detail, I wasnt too please but as it stands, solid enough.

We gonna see if Clarke is all that.

We aren’t ever going to dispute he’s a cracking player, but as we all know we set whole game up to give him the ball.

Had he started that would have changed anyway, would he have had same impact? Mundle goes both sides we have already gained there.

He did slow the game down as well, one thing Jacky wasn’t was especially quick. Mundle is rapid.

Time will tell, and I’ll never **** on what Jacky did for us and his value to us, but he’s been gone 3 games and we look a better and more balanced side.

It’s mad how things turn out.

Its interesting in that article that RLB says he sees Ekwah as a 6 and that Ekwah preferred position is between defense and midfield whereas the common perspective on here is that he's better higher up the pitch

Sure I read an interview with Ekwah that says he actually sees himself more as a 10 than a 6. He apparently played as a 10 as a youth.

I just got the impression he didn't like the pace of the game and the defensive side of things. He's a talented lad but I can genuinely see him spending most of his career in France now. Depending on how this loan goes perhaps even in Ligue 2

Mowbray alluded to giving Ekwah a kick up the backside at times and now Le Bris is saying that Ekwah feels that all he needs is a little more effort and he's there. Surely as a player you should be putting that effort in no matter what. I can see Ekwah being one of those players who keeps moving to "look for a new challenge" every now and then
