Its the complete opposite of short sighted. They signed a player we had no chance of signing because he had an issue, they took a punt and have said exactly that, also said they put clauses in to protect the club from the worst case scenario.

You need to tape your arse back together. Nothing has happened yet, nor is anything guaranteed to happen. Are you suggesting the club weren't aware of the possibility?

Not short sighted at all... if anything far sighted. The club arranged a loan with an option or obligation to buy pending a successful outcome to this case. If it was upheld the club could as I understand it walk away. Its the clubs belief it will be ok.
