a few months back i inadvertently developed this ability to make people appear just by thinking about them, not instantly, but as soon as possible at the next place i'd normally see them, even if they hadn't been there for a long time. i'd no idea it had expanded to football, but i'll see what i can do.
The lurker on here would tell you I can do that with those about to check out, he calls me Dr Death. :emoticon-0138-think

What he wants very much depends on him being deemed ready and capable. If he was, we wouldn't be bringing a 3rd

Might not be the reason at all, what if TW said I don’t think Pandur is good enough yet and Acun might agree that is why they going for a 3rd which obviously they won’t say that as that would be like admitting Rosenior was right not to play him.

Although I think he has done really well in the games he has played and could have a good season.

He didn't sign off on Pandur, and although he's looked better than expected in the league games he still looks to have a rick or two in him.

But ultimately there's something he clearly feel is lacking. And the glaringly obvious thing is experience. Few sides go into a season with 2 keepers and 4 games at the level between them.

Ultimately though, only Walter can definitively answer that, and I'm sure he'll be asked.
Why not sign an experienced keeper instead Rocioppo and give Tim or Harvey a chance to challenge?

Why not sign an experienced defender instead of Hughes?

There's obviously a strategy to develop players over time for profit. That can apply to keepers too.
There's obviously a longer term plan as well as a plan for this season.

Maybe they've learnt not to develop young loan players for the parent club to profit so are investing in our own youth and bringing experience on loans or free?

Without the club coming out and explaining it though it's all speculation.

Pretty sure there was none of this whining and scrutiny when Brownie brought in donkey dick Warner as a 3rd option.

When do we ever realistically use the 3rd choice in a game we very rarely do so with the keepers we have Pandur and Rocioppo will always play in the event of a disaster we have TLT and we have jan window.

That’s different orange and you know it, we’ll have 5 goalkeepes, 3 of which would say they can be the number 1. Two of them have been signed in the last two windows.
Give your tiger tinted shades a wipe, we don’t need a keeper

Maybe you should be asking Walter that? Or any other manager that prefers to run with 3 senior keepers?

I suspect it will be to allow the younger keepers to go play men's football on loan though.

You're speaking as if its my decision <laugh>

Clearly those at the club feel different. Though TLT will be back on loan as soon as we sign a 3rd.

I think we’ve got two decent keepers based on the very limited evidence regarding Racioppi and the growing evidence regarding Pandur.

However if we can get a better one, and that won’t prevent us from signing other players the squad needs, then I’m all for it. Thats literally how football teams get better. A truth that I’m sure Ivor and Anthony understand, they’ve come here to do a job not do us a favour.

No im speaking to you as someone who’s justifying the decision and can see logic in it

The logic is that our 2 senior keepers haven't got 5 games in England between them, so they're bringing in a 3rd whilst they acclimatise.

And that it allows TLT to go and play every week instead of being cover here.

But we have 5 surely 3 out of the 5 must be capable plus we are not Chelsea.

TLT hasn't played championship football and isn't credible option yet. Hell be heading out to L1 or 2. Cartwright the same if he wasn't out injured long term. Robson isn't a credible option either. That leaves 2 young keepers with 4 games in English football between them and they clearly want some experience alongside that.

It's not astrophysics.

how will the 2 senior keeprs get more games in england if we make them 2nd & 3rd choice, does santa bring them more experience?

But saying that the same must surely be said of Beida,Burstow,Zambrano,Puerto Jarvis to a degree Burns.

Because if you can't take them out of the firing line when needed you do more harm than good. And working with an experienced keeper who's done it in the league day in day out is only going to help them in the longer term.

Of course there's a balance to be struck, but that's down to the coach.
