Not sure he is anywhere near good enough, technically to play advanced. I have been incredibly disappointed in him.
Only time he's looked good is in a wingback role with plenty of support behind him, not the greatest going forward though Had high hopes for him but he's looked pretty poor
I guess we're backing ourselves to be the ones to get that final jigsaw piece put into place with Simic. He hasn't scored goals, however the rest of his game sounds very good. If we can add Mendy and Simic and with Isidor hopefully it would take the pressure off Simic a little bit in that regard. Ultimately strikers need chances creating though, and when Stewart got injured we adapted to play without a proper goal-hungry CF. Its encouraging to see us score a goal like the 4th last Sunday, with the ball rolled across the box for Mayenda to tap into the empty net. These are the bread and butter of any CF.
If that’s the case he hope he had an idea to replace him with someone. I’ve got couple weeks off and no plans as well so I’m gonna try and see the young uns and get eyes on Lenz. See if he’s anywhere near for this season for that DM cover.

It’s hard to judge on goals for a young lad cos how many minutes needs considered. 5 in 38 for Salzburg doesn’t look great, but then was it 38 x 90 or 38 x 15? Likely closer to the latter. When you reading Croatian journalists talk there’s clearly more to the lad than his goals record (looks about 1 in 3.5 but was 19 in 25 season he was a ‘starter’). Edit* went and found this info goal every 308 mins. 47 mins average playing time. Rarely subbed off and goals above XG That, again, is similar to Isak pre Toon. Could Pembele convert to a DM?

Aye that’s only place I’d ever seen him play for them, that’s a fair shout. He looked a player when I’d seen him but I never seen him at the level his is when he was in Spain. Thought he was ‘very good’ not ****ing ‘world class’. Wish someone had nicked him.
Pembele has undoubtedly looked poor, but he’s played around 300 mins across a year since a major knee injury. Worth a gamble to see if he just locked straight into performing given the promise he displayed in his early career, but now he needs to go somewhere and play 30 games. Too early to completely write him off given the circumstances but he’s not gonna get what he needs at safc this season.
