Tim did say he thinks the bulk of the signings should be domestic players. That was weeks ago and I think we've been forced to change tact for some signings.
I was asking as the meaning of the player named was England playing a mid-prem level team striker. spurs aren’t a mid-level prem team, that’s all. Chill out mate.
I think you might find in future windows, if TW project is working, then maybe more German players might be sort. Maybe TW doesn't want to many at the start, relying initial more on proven players in this country.
If TW and the brain team identify a player who fits the system then nationality becomes irrelevant. I think we just need players who can do a job and the January transfer window could be like last season. If we're mid table and safe then stay as we are but if we do exceed current expectations and are around the play offs then some of these loans coming in could be ended earlier to allow us to bring in even better players
I thought we did that so the Scottish idiot, 'Jim whathisname' of sky (formerly?) and Talksport had a show.
Disagree. In today's world, I don't think it's an insane fee at all. Players with his attributes aren't easy to come by, and he will only improve further. It's just a pity we didn't have the money and weren't in a position to sign him.
I think they might do ok in the PL. Smart signings so far, and no doubt a few more to come. Even Townsend as LB cover for £0.4m is damn clever business. They've certainly got something special going on there, on and off the pitch.
Say what you want about us selling our star players early but at least it gave the likes of McLoughlin more time to get used to the system in pre season, Leeds have just done their entire pre season with Summerville and Rutter and have now lost them both within days of the openers
I would rather have speed over the recruitment announcements than all this fancy dan social media ****e!
What game has he missed being available for or training has he missed because of the delayed announcement from yesterday to today?
Great to see a lot of Wigan fans thinking he should've gone to a better team aye will be a prem player sooner rather than later
