Yes, I think both have a good future, maybe a bit early this season, but probably will get the odd cameo and be in cup games.
Dont know how reliable.... BUT... Millar... seems legit.. https://www.tsn.ca/soccer/canadian-liam-millar-nearing-completion-on-move-to-hull-city-1.2159594 UPDATE:: TWS reporting on their site the same tweet and info saying they have missed out on a target... https://www.leedsunited.news/transf...l-at-hull-city-after-links-with-leeds-united/
Millar is the one that I have always had a feeling will make the most difference. Not just the quality and experience he has in this league, but the fact that we really need a winger who will run at defenders and get the attacks going! If we get this done before Bristol, I would have a lot more hope about winning the game! (providing he is fit enough to play)
Preston apparently played Millar at wing back last year which is why he “only” got 5 goals and assists.
A mate of mine is a PNE fan, he recons, "anything less thank £3m is a bargain, he was their best player last year and played out of position at wing back - as a winger he'll make 15-20 contributions a year" fingers crossed
It’s one I’m quite excited about. Hughes is the other who I think would come straight into our team and immediately improve us.
Yeah also think Hughes will be a massive signing for us if we can get it done. A bit concerned how long its taking though, seems a bit of a stalemate at the moment. Hopefully now with Acun personally involved with transfers he can help get it over the line.
So where are we up to if things happen we expect to happen? Racioppi Coyle/Drameh Jones Burns/Hughes Giles Zambrano Slater Omur Longman Oscar Millar Add potentially a new CM, new Winger, Conway etc and suddenly it's looking pretty good! Just wish we were about 2 weeks earlier
It will take at least a month for these guys get used to magic system of Tim. Well at least all we read about him so far always mention it is hard to get a grip on system easily. Hoping that it is true, because then the myth about success of system can also be true.
Recall going to City v PNE last season and thinking I'll watch out for this kid as the media boffs were talkin him up..Didn't do a lot , anonymous, not impressed. Though they did park the bus from Min 1.
He largely played wing back to be fair. He's a lot more direct when playing for Canada. His game against Leeds highlights what he can do
You're right, but I'd love to see Omur through the middle for a run of games this year, but in Tim we trust!
It might be easier for attackers to get used to it. I think the middle and defensive third is where the largest adaptive period would take place
I don't remember him from the home game against them but he stood out in the away game I thought. Remember he kept putting balls in the box from down in front of us.
