Why, who is the grass? Tell us more.
Not you because you never revealed the pm I sent in which I stated that I'm the type of person that will argue that lead weighs less than water just for the challenge.
Good man.

I think Bruce was just lucky. It was fortunate that other teams finished below us as usually he'd have got relegated in those seasons.
To be fair I just assumed it was common knowledge that you'd do that. Not you because you never revealed the pm I sent in which I stated that I'm the type of person that will argue that lead weighs more than water just for the challenge.

Is it just a branch though? From my understanding it’s the founding concept of chaos theory. Though it’s a bit above above my station and I haven’t looked at since doing bird migration in 2000
I think (and again, I'm no expert either) the butterfly effect was more of an example to use as a 'proof point' to help people understand how the the chaos theory might apply. But don't quote me on any of that. Not my main area either to be honest but my understanding was that chaos theory was the overall idea and the butterfly effect is one of the underlying principles. Maybe not a branch then, but I think it's a smaller part of the overall concept.
Was gonna post this myself but couldn't be arsed.Incorrect. As I pointed out at the time the number of points we got was enough to finish in the top 4 most seasons (8 out of the last 11). If you get 70+ points you'd be incredibly unlikely to miss out on Champions League football (Man Utd finished 2nd on 66 points a few years back). The whole "we only finished top 4 due to other teams doing badly" is a myth you've fallen for buddy.

I would have to disagree with that entire argument because if the 3 other clubs didn't all have one of their worst seasons in the very same season more points would have gone to one of those clubs as usual.
Obviously Newcastle collected more points mate and that's why they had a good season, however if Liverpool Chelsea and Tottenham didn't all have a bad season ?
Essentially it was two things
1. 50% of the usual top 6 all had dreadful seasons at the same time.
2. Newcastle had a good season.
Similar to when pardew finished 5th then reality kicked in the following season.

Was gonna post this myself but couldn't be arsed.
I guess our points total would have been less if they were better because we wouldn't have done so well in the head to heads. But hey, who gives a fuk?
So speaks a child of Sky and the Premier League.

And conversely Man United had their BEST season of the last 3 years, otherwise we'd have finished in 3rd place. It's not even that far back tbh.
All three of those teams had worse seasons in the previous couple of years and many, many worse of the previous decade. In terms of points on the board it simply wasn't one of their worst seasons.

Are you talking about A sound of thunder by Ray Bradbury or shall we discuss the mathematician Lorenz?
Ha ha. You gave your view based on no factual evidence whatsoever. Being asked to produce evidence of your claims isn’t a secondary fact of no relevance it’s actually integral to what you were claiming.Actually no I merely gave my view which was shared by others on here and in the fanbase and unfortunately was challenged on secondary points of no relevance.
Anyway let's move on we've been going around in circles.
Any transfer news?
