Wouldn’t be against that at all. Easily at the top end of the division in terms of ability. Imagine his wages are huge though.
Would be a very ambitious signing. Seems unlikely based on likely salary though.
Also recently extended his contract which would seem weird if he was surplus to requirements.

There was a stat that we had, for the first two thirds of the season, won every game in which we took the lead (I think that was it) - it was extraordinary and something you associate with game management which, in turn, is something people associate with experience. I personally think we have pretty good leadership and experience in abundance in this group - it just so happens they're not particularly old with it.
I couldn't disagree more tbh. Theres very little know how or leadership to get us through tough games.
Imo it's a huge reason we finished 16th in the league

I know I'm in the minority in thinking as I do, it's no problem. But in terms of little know how or leadership to get us through tough games, that's why I mentioned that stat - it demonstrates or at least suggests it was there.

I agree, I think there's been a bit too much been expected of young players tbh
Agree - this is why we need a few more "older" heads with a bit of know how sprinkled into the side. Will make a massive difference this season imo

I'm getting a bit confused. No-one is suggesting a load of senior midfielders. We had a senior midfielder in Evans, the idea being to let him anchor and give Neil,Ekwah,Adil,Riggy etc freedom to go forward and be creative. Evans got a nasty injury,we didn't have an adequate replacement....both Neil and to a larger extent Ekwah struggled with it and we signed Styles, who we thought would fill the role. For whatever reason,he didn't. We've now signed Browne....a good 3 years younger than Evans to fill that role. It still leaves us youth orientated and doesn't in any way take away any opportunities for other players. Why would anyone think Browne is somehow going to limit Riggy's minutes?
Not necessarily directly. Indirectly though it adds to the pressure on minutes. Browne either plays as one of the 8s or as the 6. One of the other two ends up being Neil. That leaves one remaining space for Jobe, Rigg, Ekwah and AA. Maybe even Ba if he isn’t ultimately seen as a winger (and he joined the club as a midfielder). We don’t keep them happy with that small an opportunity. The problem gets a hell of a lot worse if we also get a senior number 6 in the building. That reduces the available minutes even further.

That’s the problem the club have created by signing so many younger players who need minutes. Rigg should be getting sent out on loan but because he’s a local lad with a bright future everyone’s screaming for him to start when there’s better players ahead of him

Good points there. Browne's presence could let us rest Neil a bit though. We played Neil in so many games last year when it looked like he could do with a breather.

Rigg may well prove himself to be perfectly capable at this level if given opportunity. Early signs in preseason are good. But I do agree that we’ve put ourself in a pickle. It’s why we should be making 5 subs every single game. It all helps to keep people involved. However, as with the attacking midfield area, we’re likely to have good players in the stands most weeks if we don’t start making tough choices. One of that midfield 6 misses out entirely each week as things stand. That’s a tough message for RLB to get across.

Rotation certainly helps - as does maxing out the subs. Mowbray was poor at the former and the latter seemed to drop off in the second half of the season, which was a shame. Sure injuries will play their part too, but while fans will always say ‘what if player x gets injured’ the club has to deal with the consequences of ‘what if they don’t’.
