So why not get the new players in early as they knew greaves and Billy Jean were going? You have to admit it’s very strangeSo only 1 player gone who wasn't expected then. That's not a fire sale
Any player will go if the money is right, that's just how clubs like us survive unfortunately
Would absolutely love KLP back and always had a feeling he would be when Brentford didn’t use him like they should have (while he was on form). It’ll be interesting to see how much we offer, given how much we sold him for. Unless it’s a loan of course.
I'm surprised Ipswich aren't in for him...Loan I would imagine, he’s got a long contract on massive wages

You have to understand the statistics that you rely onAllsop was the second worst keeper in the division last season, not sure that quantifies solid
L**ds are keen on Rak Sakyi for £8-10mKlp, Oscar, Rak-Sakyi front 3 would stop the moaners for a few weeks at least
Giving anybody until Christmas is a crazy ideaIts looking very much like a firesale Chazz. I think the Rosenior sacking was a knee jerk- reaction, on par with Robinson sacking Brian Horton back in the day, and look where that one got us. Read today that Kesler is saying we were 'successful' last season, hence the interest in some of our players. If we were successful why the need to sack the manager without a replacement already lined up? Were any serious talks undertaken to ask Greaves and Philogene to give us until Christmas? Why wasnt Rosenior given until Christmas, seeing as this was supposed to be a 'five year plan' So yes, Chazz, from where I am sitting it does look like a firesale and I'm not at ease with it.
As for Tigerite...
Stats can be made to suit any arguement you want. So are you saying that every goal City conceded last season was purely down to the goalkeeper and nothing to do with the players in front of him?
They did, I understand they perfectly tooYou have to understand the statistics that you rely on
No way did the statistics indicate he was the second worst keeper

And n certainly not helpful to a new managers
I’d have liked a BFG in early at least to really give a statement for the club and for Walter as well
Im still in the camp of come the close of the window, we will have an excellent team...Ot all depends on the reasons, maybe Walter wanted to see what the squad offered before committing to signings, maybe he blocked players we had lined up early, maybe the club couldn't take the risk on signings before JP and JG just incase it didn't happen/they got injured etc. maybe Walter has asked for players that we didn't have on our potential lists ( this will almost certainly have happened ) Moore was obviously close but he chose for his own reasons to change his mind after sheff utd came in late....
Are they anygood? You must log in or register to see media
I think 15m for 3 Fenerbahce rejects will piss people off more than the lack of signings. I'd be happy with Krunic or Crespo though
My point is Pete, Kesler is saying last season was successful, hence other clubs interest in our players. Therefore Rosenior should not have been sacked at all and if Acun had doubts about him he should have at least given him until christmas to be proved right or wrong. As it is we shall never know, it was a decision ranking as bad as Robinson sacking Brian Horton because we lost at home to Swindon Town one Tuesday night. Swindon, who went onto the PL and we blooded two maybe three players that night, a stupid, stupid decision at the time.Giving anybody until Christmas is a crazy idea
players - not so many clubs looking to recruit
manager - there was going to be a massive rebuild needed in the summer. if we got rid of Rosenior but was stuck with the players he recruited it would be a disaster. better to do everything in the summer.
Crespo is good, Krunic was a regular for AC Milan last year. Playing and doing well against Real Madrid in the champions leagueAre they anygood?
