Stats can be made to suit any arguement you want. So are you saying that every goal City conceded last season was purely down to the goalkeeper and nothing to do with the players in front of him?

Sigh. It looks at the quality of shots Allsop faced and compares them to how likely they were to end up in a goal, totalled. Then subtracts that from how many he actually conceded. Allsop was almost -10 goals.

He's a 27 year old centre back who's played a handful of games for Liverpool and a handful of games for a handful of clubs on loan.

27 years old and only played 125 games but played in the Champions League, Scottish Premier League and the Championship last season. I think the phrase ' very low mileage but with many owners' springs to mind.

Its looking very much like a firesale Chazz. I think the Rosenior sacking was a knee jerk- reaction, on par with Robinson sacking Brian Horton back in the day, and look where that one got us. Read today that Kesler is saying we were 'successful' last season, hence the interest in some of our players. If we were successful why the need to sack the manager without a replacement already lined up? Were any serious talks undertaken to ask Greaves and Philogene to give us until Christmas? Why wasnt Rosenior given until Christmas, seeing as this was supposed to be a 'five year plan'
Unbelievable people are still mourning a Manager who achieved **** all, whilst creating the most boring brand of football to fall asleep to.

But who decides if they were likely to end up in a goal?
I'm not criticising I just really want to know before I use these stats. Surely it's still just opinion rather than fact

As for Tigerite...

Firesale.....we've had 1 player leave who we didn't expect, everyone else out the door is exactly who we knew would go.

Feel free to explain who that translates to a firesale

Tufan
Greaves
Philogene
Allsop
Ingram
That's five from the top of my head who appeared on every first team, team sheet last season. A season described today in the national press as 'successful' by Tan Kesler.
Plus you know as well as I do that Seri and McLoughlin are likely to go if the money is right.

Do you envision anything speeding up HT?

It has to, but as I've said couple of times already, the market is so slow this summer due to the euros, lots of teams are skint/tightening up and the big boys have only just started doing their deals, so the trickle down effect of those will now start happening.

I'm around 10/14days away from being concerned, things have to start happening and I'm 100% confident they will

xG measures the quality of the chances that a side makes and xGOT builds on this to tells us what a team managed to do with these chances. Essentially, xG is a pre-shot model while xGOT is a post-shot model.

The Expected Goals on Target model is built on historical on-target shots and includes the original xG of the shot but also the goalmouth location where the shot ended up. It gives more credit to shots that end up in the corners compared with shots that go straight down the middle of the goal. This model is only for on-target shots given that if you don’t get your shot on target, there’s a 0% chance that it will result in a goal.

As far as I know this is what they use - the total xGOT as how many goals should have been scored. How many were actually scored is known and then it’s the difference.

Greaves and Philogene have been as good as gone since Feb. Allsop wasn’t treated well but he’s dropped to league 1 ffs to be a back up, Tufan is the only surprise but he’s gone to one of the biggest clubs in Europe fan base wise

So only 1 player gone who wasn't expected then. That's not a fire sale

Any player will go if the money is right, that's just how clubs like us survive unfortunately

I'd be interested to know how you knew that Greaves and Philogene have been as 'good as gone since February? I thought we were in with a chance of the Play off's until the last game of the season?

I thought Acun's five year plan was not just to survive but to get us into the Premier League? Has that plan been binned and we are now just wanting to 'survive'?
If the Allams were still in charge and we were in a similar postion as we are today, having sold our two stand out players to the first club to show us the colour of thier money, just to survive, I'm sure more 5hit would be hitting the fan.
