Think it's because Clarke is still here and Willock's a left winger isn't he? Guess signing him means Clarke is off, so I dread it more than anything.
I know he's not set the world alight with his few minutes with us but I think with a good manager behind him mundle could be a very good player for us
not sure how 100% this is but the club have said IF he is to be sold has to before the first game of the season
Money talks though. If a club comes in with a big offer AND Clarke wants to go, then no matter when it comes it could be accepted. Our price will likely go up after the season starts though
club will only sell if they get the price, Clarke wants to stay as his last big prem move didnt work out and has doubts.
Browne two year deal with option for another year. He’s on significantly less than what Preston offered but very good bonuses in his deal. (Play 25 games etc)
Moore and Browne would be a cracking start to the window. Bags of experience. Focus could then turn to quality in the forward areas.
My guess is we'll get Browne in, then possibly a striker like Mubama. But we'll have to go a bit quiet and concentrate on outgoings, so it'll be announced then.
I'd like to see Parrott, he's just had a great season for a **** team in the eredivise - 17 goals, and his confidence is at an all time high, started scoring for Ireland too. One year left on his deal too
Sorry if posted - this is a really good read on a PNE perspective of Browne coming here https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...ing-to-sunderland-amid-transfer-talks-4697365
I’d want better than Parrott personally, would be disappointed to see him leading our line. Decent season just gone but struggled at Preston previously in this league.
The thing is with young strikers, when they have that breakthrough goalscoring season it's usually the best time to sign them. Out of curiosity is there any out there you'd like to see come in to lead the line, realistically?
