That's not really what I said mate. I wasn't saying cop a loss this year and fix it less. Don't think they judge the losses as at July...

Also you're looking purely at the losses as they're presented p&l (and our 2023 loss was only 6m). FFP contains plenty of deductions meaning you can't just judge that. Or Stoke and Boro would be in a bit of trouble!

They are in trouble! Boro sold Akpom last season, but they still spent more than they made and the season before they had to sell Djed Spence and Marcus Tavernier to invest and they only spent moderately that season. Stoke spent £19m last season with very little coming in, the season before they had sold Harry Souttar to Leicester which gave them a bump but honestly, they completely pissed it up the wall.

And no, I know you didn't mean that and genuinely sorry if it came across that way, but some people seem a bit confused as to why we are selling our two best (and most valuable) assets as if there's some ulterior motive behind it. There isn't, we need to balance the books.

Maybe this is why they got Darnbrough in, bargain basement signings..

It wouldn't surprise me actually, one thing he was good at was getting us decent larkers for nowt. And...er...some pretty odd ones as well.

Speaking of, Thomas Mayer got released by Grazer AK having scored 5 goals and registering 3 assists as they won the Austrian 2nd tier. Bit harsh. Maybe Stoke will give him a chance.

My point on Boro is if you just look at their accounts they lost something like 70m in 3 years but clearly haven't breached FFP. You can't just look at the p&l and add it up.

Financial year runs different to the FFP year so no one’s really able to predict and know who’s in what state. Cut off for FFP is 30th of June so we must be okay or else we’d have rushed the sales of Greaves and Philogene. This next year would’ve been the worry

Don't most clubs end 30 June too now?

Ipswich supposed to be winning the race for Jaden but Everton are still in there.

McKenna will have them lads flying, wouldn’t have finished 7th with them that’s for sure.

Look at the firepower they had compared to us. Where we ****ed up is building an XI and not a squad. Look at how many games they won late because they switched their attack and didn't lose any quality, whereas we had Lokilo to rely on
