I get that, he’s just a very dynamic midfielder and clearly tidy in possession so think Walter will develop him quicklyFar less intrigued by him at the moment because I have no clue what he’s capable of…

This is why clubs don’t announce a true figure, so they can say “We got around £X but we only get £X every 6months or after X appearances”
Don't worry.Just read, assuming Philogene goes which seems near certain, we have 'lost' 63 of last seasons 68 goals!! An astounding fact? What a state.
Don't worry.
Pandur will spend most of the game on the edge of their box so he'll pick a few goals up I'd think.
I know it's not the point you're making but I still wonder whether Pandur will even be number 1. Wouldn't be surprised if Walter wants to bring in a specialist goalie who can play his style, and if not I also wouldn't be enormously surprised if Ingram is his number 1.
Just when I'd put the Doncaster 'performance' out of my tiny mind ...If the Doncaster game is anything to go by I dont think Ingram has it in his locker to play out from the back with great efficiency

He certainly wasn't trusted to do it by Rosenior, but neither was Pandur. I don't think the Doncaster game was Ingram's fault though. We didn't at the time know how to deal with the way they marked us after they adjusted it about 15 minutes into the game and Ingram was the guy left on the ball looking daft. Strange thing is by the end of the season loads of teams were marking that way including us, the man-for-man marking really took off during last season.
Speaking of Brentford, just seen that Arsenal have signed Raya on a permanent after loaning him from them last season. I suppose that deal is a precedent for what Barcelona supposedly want to do with Jaden. We've been wondering why City would agree to a loan first, and the same would've applied to Brentford agreeing to a loan first in this case. There must've been something in it for them.
A good reminder actually, as a counter to the person who said obligation loans are counted as purchases. Arsenal had him as an obligation loan to delay FFP impact.
That explains that then.
I've still never understood the deal we did for Nathan Baxter. It was going to be a permanent deal the second time, but according to Tan, Chelsea wanted to structure it as a season-long loan followed by a permanent deal the following summer. Apparently it suited Chelsea better that way but I don't understand how. Anyway as we know, Rosenior took over in the meantime, Baxter had injuries and we ended up changing our mind on him.
Not sure what the benefit was for Brentford with the Arsenal deal. Perhaps they offered a higher fee to compensate the delay?
Looks like a striker is going to be the next through the door, Acun said on Sky Sports that it's "somebody which we love very much and we are very happy with him."
My guesses would be Celar or Glatzel.
i took that
whom we love very much as to be ohio
i hope im wrong

Going by Acun's comments last year no matter how much we rake in he won't be buying the stadium. He stated we'd only be spending big for strikers, and it made sense to him to spend money on buying players not the stadium. They could buy the stadium, lock stock and barrel for less then that. Then borrow again on the bricks and mortar asset and really start to build up a club that is worth something.
Personally I'm not happy with all this transfer talk. Reminds me the early 70's when we sold Stuart Pearson to Manchester United. We got a good fee for him at the time, but sold him too early and to the first interested club. We did nothing with the money and the player they shifted onto us as makeshift in the deal, Peter Fletcher, was nothing special. I think we even agreed to a pre seaspn friendly with them as our 'add on'. City slid down the leagues after Pearson was sold and not a penny was used to improve the club in any way.
We squandered the cash we got for Maguire and Clucas and we were robbed blind over the Robertson deal. The KLP sale simply kept the asking price of the club down so as to attract a buyer, and it did, and how did we benefit from the Bowen money? Seems none of these big transfers have added a penny of value to the club.
I can see the Greaves and Philogene cash going exactly the same way if we are not careful.
No-one can tell me that we will be a better, stronger club without those two in the squad.
And I know we cannot hang onto them when the big clubs come calling, but we will never be a 'big club' ourselves until we add some real value to the club in bricks and mortar and no-one seems to be willing to even consider that option.
