I was going to post I think Moyes is talking sense. Shearer genuinely has no idea on tactics, formations or nuance. Great player does not make a great pundit. The lass in the studio far more knowledgeable.
Oh, Moyes looking relaxed and happy. Maybe another top job left for him. Despite his time with us, he remains elite level coach. Met him a couple of times at coaching master classes. Liked him, even after his time with us. He was sold a dud I suspect.
Sometimes things just don't work out and Moyes with us is one of those situations. Though I have many problems with how he performed for us, it's clearly an outlier in his relatively successful career.
I feel like most of the Premier League clubs are a bit ambitious for him now though. In the past, he might have moved down slightly and got midtable team with slightly less resources, but those teams are Brighton, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth etc. who have all made the shift to progressive young foreign coaches. I can't see a Premier League club who's head coach profile would put Moyes in the frame.
I'm not sure how keen he'd be to drop lower though so it may be retirement for him unless he's interested in the Championship or North of the border.
