I think the only one out there would probably be Potter, even though he was left high and dry by Chelsea who had just come out of one of the most turbulent times in their history, I still think tactically he is about the best English coach out there.

I like the bloke and admire what he's done ...

... but I thought he froze at Chelsea.

I know that's not a popular view, because people hate Chelsea as I do, but it was too big for him imo.

Big mistake for him, other than financially of course.

Lampard would be good appointment, would instantly put us bang in the limelight, what young players wouldn’t want to learn from one of the best attacking midfielders this country has ever produced. He done a good job at Chelsea and Everton under very very difficult circumstances. That gets forgotten too quickly
