A classic forum comeback, an old as the internet.

Thanks very much for your insightful posts. I’ve a few questions if that’s alright?Hey football friends,
It’s always fun to see what other fans write and think about your team, and therefor I also couldn’t resist to make a quick post.
There are a lot of mixed feelings about Jansen in Holland. Jansen is a very sympathetic man, calm, friendly. You won’t see him do Simeone or Mourinho stuff, or put out spicy quotes in interviews. Therefor he usually has a good reputation with the Dutch media and Dutch football fans in general. The problem is though, with the main focus on Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord, most of them don’t really watch most games of AZ. His dismissal in January was quite a big shock for the media and fans outside of Alkmaar. For the actual AZ fans it wasn’t.
His upsides for a team like Sunderland are of course that he has an English background. Both language and culture won’t be a problem to fit in. And he likes to invest in personal relations with players. If a player works for him, he will pay that back with confidence when a player has a bad period. He likes to play from a strong organization from the back, he is for sure less attacking minded then Arne Slot who was coach before him. But especially his tactical abilities have always been a point of concern. He likes to stubbornly stick to one game plan. Even if it hasn’t worked over and over. We lost a lot of points to last minute goals under him. His lineups, subs and tactics tend to be almost always the same. Which can be frustrating if things don’t go your way. That would definitely be my biggest downside of Jansen, he isn’t very strong in adjusting a game plan to an opponent or even during a certain game.
So overall it’s a bit mixed. Maybe we were a bit spoiled with Slot who set the bar very high for Jansen. It was Jansen’s first serious coaching job, and he definitely has potential. He’s obsessed with the game and willing to improve himself. I do think English football fits him well. If there are any specific things people like to know, let me know. I would definitely be very anxious to follow Sunderland and see how he performs if it all goes through in the end. His big dream is the Premier league.

Beyond the obvious ones like Reijnders and Kerkez, what is Jansen like at developing and improving players?
Did he have a good track record for bringing through academy players into the first team?
What was the tempo of the play like under him? Was it very slow and ponderous? You say you think English football suits him well, how so?
Finally, how integral to the positive things he did were his back room staff? Martens is obviously staying on with you so I was wondering if Jansen would have an obvious choice of assistant head coach if he did come here?
Sorry for the bombardment!
Why?That's what happens when a situation goes on for over three months.
I'm more annoyed by the 'everything's fine man, nothing to worry about' posts.
Not as annoyed as one side's constant attempts to bully those who don't think the same way though.
Why?
Brilliant! You must log in or register to see media

He's more annoyed about other posters than anything to do with the club ...
... says it all.
Arguing with people is his aim, the club is just the excuse he uses to post his bitter diatribe.
He doesn't go to games and has no interest in SAFC.
He was the same as Exile and he's slipping back into it now ... it's pathetic.
There’s loads on here that wish you wouldShut up, exile. Or will we play search function gotcha again?

Dont Worry Be Happy
Here's a little song I wrote about a team I've followed down every road
Dont Worry Be Happy
A famous team in Red and White that I'll be following all my life
Dont Worry be Happy
(Thanks to my Celtic pal for that one colour change obviously)

I sort of get where GW is coming from, people have a right to criticise the club currently due to recent events, others may see it differently. There are posters who criticise the club at every opportunity and there are others who can’t bring it upon themselves to criticise the club for anything.
You need to be more balanced like me, proper Libran me
So is it actually Jansen then?
Wonder who he brings with him? Is Zenden a possibility?
