Mine would be similar to yours but I’d drop Toney instead of Konsa as Kane and Watkins would be enough for a tournament barring any freak injuries. I also think Gallagher over Wharton just because he’s a useful player to have in the squad.

Not sure what happens with Watkins when he puts on an England shirt, he looks a shadow of the player that plays for Villa.

Not sure what others think, but when it comes to selecting the forwards, outside of Kane, Bellingham, saka and foden, I don’t mind who is included/excluded. I think they can all do a good job, but I cannot think that we would be thinking we missed that specific type of player. We have talent across the full spectrum up front. I would like to see Bowen go just because of city connection and he works really hard for the team, but even then, there are others that are just as good.

I think for midfield options it should be Wharton or Mainoo but not both at this tournament and Mainoo just clinches it for me.

I agree with all of this.

Realistically you don’t need Toney and Watkins when Bowen/Foden/Palmer/Bellingham can all play up front if really needed.

From what I've seen of Watkins at international level he'd be the first I'd thank and let go. Toney at least offers us a target and is ideal for penalties, Watkins just runs around like a headless chicken, and when a chance does fall to him he lacks composure, hence why he needs at least half a dozen chances per game to convert.

Starting XI

................Pickford
.Walker Stones Dunk Alex-Arn
..Rice Bellingham Gallagher Eze
.......... Kane Palmer

Omur is very likely to be cut to be honest. Too many star players at that position, Guler, Yilmaz, Akturkoglu, Kahveci, Yildiz and Akgun is former player of Montella, they are pretty close.

Small hope though, after Unal's injury, Montella might want to use Yildiz as secondary striker or backup striker so Omur can fill that place. But he would still be a fringe player in the squad.

It’d be great to have a City representative. But I’ll also feel relieved if he doesn’t get chosen, so he doesn’t get injured! I think I’m swaying more to wanting him to be picked though. :emoticon-0100-smile

I don't think he will play enough to get injured or tired, unless a very unfortunate situation occurs in training. So it is good for him to show up as part of squad at least so he keeps a good price tag.

There is also Yazici btw, forgot to mention in first post. Even Under was cut from squad, so at least Omur still passed him. Turkish National team pool is full of attacking midfielders and wingers.

Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire have been excluded from the England National Team's EURO 2024 squad. (The Athletic)

Maguire is a big loss. He and Stones have been the partnership for years now and no one has come close to staking a claim to overtaking them. No idea who even is the next in line centre back.

So who’s been cut? Jones, Maddison, Maguire and now Grealish? I’m surprised about Maguire and Grealish. Ruthless streak by Southgate recently haha. He’s culled a lot of his ‘blue-eyed boys’. No Henderson, Rashford, Mount and now no Maguire and Grealish. Guéhi has to be the starting centre-half next to Stones. Stones, Konsa, Guéhi, Branthwaite and Gomez are all solid options at centre-half. Think Dunk and Quansah will get cut.
