Agree with this.

If he does well with us he'll be gone in a shot. You can just tell.

Should he be appointed I can't see him lasting 18 months. He'll either be sacked as we continue in mid table, or leave for better things should he finish higher.
What are you basing that on ? Really don’t get this pre-judging

I think there's two factors here -

1. Yes I expect he'll be off if he gets an offer that improves his career.

2. To get that offer requires being successful with whoever he goes to next. He's still very young and inexperienced and needs to do a good job at a new club before bigger clubs will seriously consider him.

If that's us, I don't blame him for playing the game to ensure that he gets every chance at succeeding here.
And if he does leave us for better things, look at the compensation big clubs are paying for managers these days. 10m+ for Kompanyand Maresca. That would go a long way towards appointing the next head coach.

My gut feeling. I'm allowed it.

He just seems the kind, to me, who is ambitious and will want to move up. Nothing wrong with that.
Never said there was anything wrong with ambition but there’s only him knows what he would do

I really hope so mate.

Comfy plodders like Mowbray are fine but I think, for them, success would be scraping up in 6th place ...

... I'd like someone openly touting himself as a top 6 manager.

There's normally two sides to every story. People will create scenarios mainly to suit their agenda.
If he does come then the club want him and he wants to be here. Dont suspect we will ever get the full story.
But we know the full story. Poor little KLD has been controlled for the last 4 years by the evil Speak-Man who has enforced on the Kingdom of SAFC his all controlling Model of Doom, which is designed to infuriate all in the kingdom and keep the inhabitants in an eternal state of championship. Meanwhile, his wicked henchman Doddsy has been hand picking recruits for the kingdom's army from a group of children in the much weaker nation of LeegUn. But Sir Will of Still will ride in on his Belgian charger and smite Speak-Man with a bottle of Brugse Zot and smash the Model of Doom simply by bringing his friends and signing a footballer over the age of 24.

Yep as others have said... I'd take an Enzo Maresca scenario. One year of him getting us promotion and then £10m in compensation :D

I thought the common consensus (in the media at least) was that we looked at Still after Mogga but couldn't afford / didn't want to pay his compensation.

So I guess you could argue we didn't think he represented good value - i.e. wasn't good enough for that fee.
Heard this, but it doesn't discount the narrative that Still didn't tick all the boxes and we are looking for better.
Those tweets from Sky and the Athletic the other day seem more and more like Still's agent putting pressure on us.
Agree, something not sitting right here.
That doesn't sound right, where did you hear that? A lot of evidence would point to the contrary.
A lot of assumptions and rumours for me...

I originally heard a story to get your house on Maric.

We shall hopefully find out soon enough.

I hope it doesn’t go the same way as the Will Grigg signing where we ended up throwing money to get him to sign when he didn’t really want to be here and his heart wasn’t in it..
It’s one thing trying to get a good deal but paying over the odds for another Will may not be such a great idea.

Provided they are sensible, KLD should stick to his spending limits on a new manager. There are still plenty out there.
