I have to be honest I wasn't exactly warming to Still with the seeming lack of a definitive commitment from him, started to feel.like he would be off as soon as a better offer came in.

Unfortunately I believe we have burned our bridges with Maric, who I was told had agreed to come then was put on the back burner when Still became available.

Would Rosenior be that bad? He was very well thought of at Derby and came close last year at Hull, maybe it's a sliding doors moment and we get someone that really wants to build a legacy here

I don't know if this is true or not. Didn't someone close to him called Training Ground Guru say that no contact has been made between the club and Maric since before Beale came in. That would suggest that we haven't approached him yet this summer.

Sorry like but people are allowed to want rid of them after the stinker of a season we’ve just had. What’s wrong with wanting to change the whole coaching team ffs?
The same thought process means you want to get rid of all the players too? The head coach sets direction and tactics. Doesn’t mean those asked to carry them out or drill them into the players aren’t capable. Each head coach has one or two trusted lieutenants, if the rest ain’t broke why go the expense, hassle and upheaval of changing them?

This is a snip of the tweet that started the meltdown. Nothing confirmed and if it was all signed and sealed why are they keeping an eye on the other fella

You forgot a proportion of fans who are negative as **** whenever things goes against us or not the way they like it.

Get a decent manager in, a couple of decent signings and the lads will be back up in the top half or challenging for the playoffs.

Stick around mate, you make a valuable contribution. The truth of all of this will come out in the wash at some point. My take is that,as you and others posted,Still had an agreement in place to come here and then got a better offer....most likely money....at the last minute. Might not even have been his money, but his staff.
If I was you,I'd be on to my source to try to find out what our next move will be....and stick it up on here to give us some much needed good news!:emoticon-0105-wink:
Lens have european football. If he does well in that it massively improves his cv

To be fair. At Bayern the new coach will have been told they have to win the league and qualify rather high in Champions League tough for your first season

I think most top coaches would back themselves to do so with a team that includes Kane, Davies, Kimmich, Musiala, De Ligt, Upamecano, and Neuer amongst other world class players.

Don't see a repeat of this year happening.

dread to think where we go next - maric stays at Bayern, still to Lens, Svensson to union

what decent head coach will want to coms knowing they are A) second choice B) they HAVE to have dodds and proctor as the main men

This list now is just soul destroying

Lampard
rosenior
heckingbottom
dodds
Parker

who else of actual quality is there???
See yet again stating rumour as fact, where has it been stated Dodds are Proctor have to been the head coaches main men, probably the opposite.
Everyone has different opinions doesn't mean they're facts

Just had a quick scan through all the possible Racing Club de Lens chiacchiere forums and there's little about Still ...

... perhaps all their supporters are on holiday.
Apparently Lens are having a press conference on Monday but that appears to be about the new director of football

The info I was told in good faith was we had agreed with Maric and then Still became available so we parked Maric to go after Still.

I wonder if the Lens fans are asking why their club didn't pay Reims compensation and get their man earlier ...

... June 1st and one of the biggest clubs in France don't have a manager, or perhaps they do, perhaps they have two <laugh>

If the rumours are true that he was about to sign and offered contract then did a u turn as soon as another club showed interest, do we really want him as our manager ?

If he was about to sign where does that leave the rumour he wouldn't come because he had a huge dislike of Sunderland's coaching staff?

Perhaps he's just a Belgian Alex Neil and it's ...
