not defending the club as it’s gone on long enough. But all we’ve heard are rumours. I’m waiting to see what the actual outcome is before judging how badly the club have managed it

An old colleague operated a grading system for rumours. A-C for quality of the source with 1-3 for number of people in the chain. So, rumour from Kld or Speakman would be A1, rumour from a friend of the kit man’s nan would probably be a C3.

BTW appreciate everyone sharing what they know, just something I find useful to keep feet on ground and not get overly excited one way or t’other.

One thing has been eating away at me all day.

Would Will Still really back away from joining us, if he knew that the club had pulled out of the Maric appointment in favour of him?

I know there is very little loyalty in football these days, but I find it hard to believe that WS would do that, which is why I think it's still on.

Just throwing it out there, but maybe he's been offered a new job in the mean time... say Ipswich or Leicester for example

I still think he's our number 1 and there's a high probability he'll come. But there's loads of moving parts atm, McKenna and Maresca have suddenly become attractive to the big boys, so now they're looking for the next big thing. We mightve all but agreed with Still, but 1 of those mightve offered him Premier League management last minute. Unfortunately he's going to go there and not to us.

All hypothetical but there's loads of ifs, buts and maybes at the minute. Unfortunately they won't be resolved until we've got a new manager, whoever it'll be

If he is, I hope he doesn't share his new Twitter. His last one was chocka with big lasses doing all sorts and I don't mean licorice.
