Norwich would pay him more, give him more control, aren’t a complete basket case of a club etc
At Reims, he worked under a sporting director, so I'd imagine that he'd be used to the dynamics of the situation we have.

Also, Reims' sporting director is a guy called Pol-Edouard Caillot. Their owner is Jean-Pierre Caillot. So it looks like the situation there could be even more convoluted and nepotistic.

Where to start?

1. The BCB ****e.
2. Appointing Beale.
3. Writing off the season when playoffs were still in touching distance.
4. Finishing last season in 16th and only 6 points above relegation.
5. Having the 2nd worst form in the league in 2024.
6. Potentially chasing Still for months only to be told no when we’ve apparently thrown all our eggs into that basket.

I should really be asking you what we’ve got right recently, because if you don’t think any of the above is a problem, then you need to take off those rose tinted glasses mate.
It's also no coincidence that the only managers we ever appoint are those out of work and are probably desperate for a job. Clearly no manager worth their salt touches us with a bargepole once they find out the inner-workings of how we operate.

Rightly or wrongly SAFC are seen as a risky career choice at the minute

In terms of safety it'd be like moving from the Costa Del Sol to the Ukrainian border
It’s harking back in time but not giving Mowbray a fighting chance due to the poor transfer business last summer is coming back to haunt us and make recruiting more difficult. He took the blame for the mediocre start because he couldn’t get an under strength squad performing.

That’s what it boils down to. Never mind

Cheers for the info, last i heard was there was a good chance of an appointment by bank holiday monday

Now things change quickly so not sure if thats still the case . Also heard the fact theres a lot of open jobs at the minute means some managers are waiting to see how gets appointment as there will be a knock on effect in terms of what other jobs open up.

Im still pretty relaxed about things at the minute, yes its not ideal its taking so long but its always about who we actually appointment

If we have to wait a few more weeks but get the right manager ill be happy - the manager has to be back before the players come back tho. That way they have a full preseason with them
If its rosenior or Heckingbottom you have to wonder what the club are doing as neither of them are going to be first choice. They might argue otherwise but I'd be amazed if they were. At moment it's all speculation but after a dreadful end to season, the fans need a manager they can get behind and some hope that we can mount a promotion charge next season. Let's wait and see but I personally would be dead against rosenior or heckingbotom. It would worry me that we aren't able to get who we really want - why is that? Crap squad? No money to invest? - and have to settle for dregs. Let's be honest that's why we got Beale and to a lesser extent Mogga.

Mini meltdown at the minute which seems to be based on fishpaste and his update. The trouble with this is that I remember the meltdown from a year ago and all the hysteria he caused with ill informed posts designed to get people clicking on his feeds.
I understand he may get things right but he also gets things wrong, so for me I think I will wait and see what comes out in the wash as my old Nana used to say.
