Buck stops with one man. Dreyfus. He appoints thoise below him to manage and run the club. He is the one who chooses the personnel at the management level, as others have stated over the past twelve or so months, he rubber stamps appointments. At a guess, I'd say he was the man in charge. So where does the real problem at the club sit? If there is a problem? Is it KS has he caused all the clubs problems. Is KLD? You must know as you have stated that in this message. Do you have inside information as to the workings of the club? Have you attended board meetings or have you just taken info from this forum and some snippets from click bait and ill informed media to draw your conclusion that KLD is to blame for 1 promotion, 1 crack at the playoffs and a mid table finish.
Yes there are some problems that is apparent but there is no need for a witch hunt to get people sacked. MD was clearly out of his depth at head coach and I have been critical of him because of his defensive mind set but still believe he was very good when in charge of personal player development. KS biggest mistake was the appointment of MB and I am pretty sure he was not first or even 2nd choice but they decided to appoint which was a mistake.
But you are talking like you want the owner gone which I think is ridiculous and TBH very short sighted as I believe longer term we will be stronger.

100%, the recruitment needs to be tailored for that formationYeah agreed. I was meaning that a lot of our supporters don’t like the 5/3 at the back.
Don’t mind it personall, we would need to tailor our recruitment accordingly but I think the front foot football is more suited to us as fans.

Johnson not really top 2 - had played about 3 games more than a few teams below top 2, had just been handed the worst defeat in safcs history 0-6 at Bolton, with a team looking shot to bits.Would you say he was right in appointing Johnson, who got us top two, Neil who got us promoted and Mowbray who almost got us in the PL?
I'd imagine your response will start with 'Yes but .... '
Say it as loud as you want, O'Nien is 1 of the first names on the team sheet for meI think that’s the only way Pembele gets in the side, that back 3 has massive potential, don’t dare say it too loud but think onien would stand out in a back 3 as the ball carrier

Yes Neil and Mowbray were very good appointments at the right time but they haven't got virtually anything right for the last 5 months.
Those were steadily improving appointments. Speakman has also been a good appointment by any sensible analysis. Sacking Mowbray was defendable too albeit I would argue the wrong time to do so. His replacement and the decision to go with Dodds for rest of season have been terrible decisions though. On the whole, still in credit for me but really need the head coach appointment to be a good one.Would you say he was right in appointing Johnson, who got us top two, Neil who got us promoted and Mowbray who almost got us in the PL?

Ah right ....
Slightly misleading when there's teams in good form a point or 2 behind with 2 or 3 games in hand is my point.
Same. He has off games defensively but don’t they all. His 10m+ defensive partner also does (eg the mags game). If you look at his positives 09 must be one of if not the best distributors of the ball in the league. Would love to see the stats for this @Scout73 @SourPatch2 ? And if they prove me wrong I was right anyway.Say it as loud as you want, O'Nien is 1 of the first names on the team sheet for me
Lets just say he had us fighting for the play-offs if you want to split hairs.
OK fair enough
Yes the Neil appointment was the right one...But his contract would suggest it was a half hearted appointment. A one year roll over contract left us wide open to what actually happened with the Stoke thingJohnson not really top 2 - had played about 3 games more than a few teams below top 2, had just been handed the worst defeat in safcs history 0-6 at Bolton, with a team looking shot to bits.

Didn't it come out that the rolling contract was his idea? And that we offered him a significant contract before he left?Yes the Neil appointment was the right one...But his contract would suggest it was a half hearted appointment. Really don't know mate...Didn't it come out that the rolling contract was his idea? And that we offered him a significant contract before he left?
Assuming this was the case then our recruitment looked weak and desperate...as you say, depends on which version to chose to believeOr perhaps it could suggest he thought he was better than us, wasn't sure he'd succeed and wanted a get out clause ...
... depends what you choose to believe I suppose.
My point is that KLD has appointed people who've help us progress and turned a rotten squad into one with more potential.
