Yes, everybody does make mistakes. it's the amount he's made since January 23 and what he has recruited and significantly Not recruited, I can't see many of those making it, that he will have to answer for.

You can't say the players recruited in January won't make it, it's too early to tell. He hasn't made that many mistakes, the major 1 being appt Beale
Educated guess mate. It's rumoured we want someone in straight after this weekend. It's between Maric and Still. KLD will want to finish the season with a glimmer of hope
That and maybe not being more decisive over Mowbray. Not many will agree but I'm perfectly happy with the recruitment policy. Buying youngsters with potential and hoping it clicks is much more exciting to me than blowing our wad on someone like Moore.
Has there been absolutely anything concrete to suggest Maric is in the running? Training Guru said he wasn't approached. A few "itk" said it was going to be Maric, one even went as far as to say it was confirmed. But we've had nothing but speculation. With Still, we know was the main target in December. Bob has quoted a conversation with Speakman saying Still is the one they want, Prehab has also said the same (both going against the grain at the height of the Maric rumours). Still has left his previous job 3 weeks before the end of the season. That makes absolutely no sense at all unless it's to be in another role within the next few days. Otherwise, why not wait until the end of the season? If Will Still is not Sunderland head coach by Tuesday morning at the latest, I'll be gobsmacked
I like our recruitment policy but also agree we need to mix it with players who are contribute immediately. We need to balance the squad out better this summer but i still want a squad that is on the younger side I normally find squads are made up of 4 type of players: - ones just breaking into senior football (jobe rigg types) - ones who have got good games under their belt but still quite a few yrs away from their peak (neil clarke ballard types) - ones who are at their peak (o9 roberts) - ones whose best days are behind them but bring valuable experience (dack evans types) We have too many in that 1st pot, and in the last pot we dont have many (and the ones we have got havent contributed) We need to balance those pots better
