Cue Maskey
You should be quicker getting it out.![]()
I’m dreading that bloke giving it large on the touchline. He’s been at it against us since that late winner he streaked for NorwichLulling Southampton into a false sense of security?![]()

I pretty much agree with Irish.
It's a reasonable piece in as far as it goes and concurs with much of what has been said here. It certainly does state the obvious but my main gripe with it is it only goes into next season and doesn't address the long term aims of the club. It's almost like that the author has subconsciously fallen into Tan's short termism.
Afternoon sir.Points taken Clingo but on the playing side surely we can't look further than next season.
Do we want a longer term vision that might involve relegation? We know how tough it is to get back up and established again.
Afternoon sir.
I don't think that a plan for the short, medium and long term need to be mutually exclusive.
My point which I can see that I didn't make clear, is that we shouldn't just be looking toward next season. The plan should include a joined up approach from juniors to seniors.
The development squad have their new training ground at Llanrumney. Tan is apparently funding a new place for the seniors at Hensol with the aim of the better youngsters training with the first team.
It will be helpful to have a training ground where the team don't have to move out when the egg chasers or Welsh football team turn up. It will make for a more joined up approach.

To his eternal credit, Tan has invested heavily in the future infrastructure at CCFC whilst suffering chilling losses at the more visible sharp end of the club.
"One for the future" was the downfall of Malky a dozen years back, and I just hope that quote doesn't resurface to haunt Tan. Without some serious consideration as to the correct way forward at our current Championship first team level, the good background work will be lost in the fallout.
Building for tomorrow is laudable, but today matters as well - at least it does to me and I suspect many others of a similar age - and older.......![]()
