    I get your point:emoticon-0148-yes:

Have you seen his pitch side celebrations after Ashford’s goal? That meant a lot to him.

Well, it doesn't look as if the future is to clear the path to the 1st team for age grade players.

Darren Davies has left Cardiff City, WalesOnline understands.
Davies, formerly the assistant of Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglu, was appointed to the club's coaching staff last autumn, with Cardiff looking to emulate a system which had been in place at Liverpool.
His focus was to bring through academy players into the first team, bridging the gap between age-grade and senior football while introducing training sessions on Thursdays for fringe first teamers and the best crop of academy talent.

    Left in Ferbruary it seems.

He's gone but 7 youngsters in the squad today. After the Lord Mayor's Show and all that.

Bloke on Call Rob demands “ Bulut out Ramsey out and the keeper out”

Ian Walsh suggests Bulut should walk as it’s a disgrace the Cardiff hierarchy haven’t decided on him.

With the improvement on last season's dreadfull table position, I don't think Tan would be justified in dissmissing Bulut without at least be seen to negotiate with the guy.

From Bulut's point of view, I suppose it depends upon what he's expecting in the way of financial support for next season and beyond as well as his personal contract terms.

Unless Bulut really wants the job this could still all just be "going through the motions" in order to say we did negotiate, because we know Tan will ultimately get his own way.

Whatever happens with Erol, or a replacement, the big issue remains the board and lack of footballing nous.
Erol stays, Erol goes, no change in the bigger scheme of things.

Another issue though is the actual football style and type of player.

The season has been a constant stream of inconsistency, fits and starts and let’s be blunt, desperately dull football.

The vast majority of the wins have been by the odd goal, with many at the death. The losses though invariably were easy wins for the opponents.

The attempt to play out from the back has been mostly unsuccessful and frankly tedious and repetitive. The skill levels of some in the first team squad is just not up to scratch. There’s been a constant lack of pace in the team through the middle and on the flanks. The manager was so reluctant to give game time to the youngsters. A lack of a decent striker has been palpable, with goals spread thinly across the squad with a full back our top scorer with 6.

It’s painful to watch teams like Ipswich, Hull, and others play with such confidence and skill through midfield and out wide with pace and quality finishing.

So if it is to be Bulut unless he changes his tactics and brings better players suited to the Championship the club will likely stagnate. I’m not confident he can though going by the signing of Turnbull, who has no pace and is not on showings so far the quality no10 City we thought we were getting and needed in light of Ramseys injuries.

I still find it difficult to believe City have got 60 odd points when they’ve been so poor in so many games.

And I'd lay that at the door of the board and the lack of footballing nous.
The infrastructure isn't in place to align manager, playing style and recruitment .
    Back to a DoF.

While not disagreeing with any of the above and despite the drubbing we took on Saturday there were signs of improvement and some hope for next season (especially as I have renewed my ST!!!): -
    1. Turnbull is a footballer and with the right people around him can bring some quality to the creative side of our game. I accept his lack of pace but Rambo has no pace now and Turnbull covers a lot more of the pitch.
    2. We saw confirmation the we have some very good young players - Ashford, Conte and Junior Colwill. Add that to Rubin and others in the pipeline plus Davies, King and Bagan to return.
    3. We have a number of better than average senior players. You know who they are so no need to list them.
    4. Assuming Bulut gets a new contract then we have continuity of manager and he can start his shopping list early - provided VT gives a reasonable allowance for new signings. Again we know where key new signings are required. No more Ugbo's and Diedhiou's please.

The only thing missing is a style of football we can identify with and get behind. With most of the squad in place early it is down to Bulut to develop this, have a positive pre season and hit the ground running for 24/25.

Okay still not right in the higher echelons off the pitch but there is every opportunity for us to move upwards next season.

I fully agree that the style is the glue.
I'd like to see Turnbull as an 8 with Colwill snr / Ramsey as a 10.
We then come down to a target man / hold up player, or a channel runner as the striker.
Given the younger players we have, add another senior signing or two with a bit of pace out wide, I'd go for the player going in behind.
Robinson could do the job, but a new signing or two wouldn't go amiss.

I'm not interested in any of this. I'm interested in the champions league and Tan nearly got us there twice if it hadn't been for everyone else. Unlike the people on this board Tan knows everything about football. Why do we need bullet who is the worst manager we ever had ever. It's time for Tan to take over team selection and tactics. He's the only one that realises that football is simple and all you have to do is keep kicking the ball towards the other teams goal. He alone got us to the prem twice and the last two seasons are other people's fault. The fact that we finished higher than the previous season for the first time in years is because of Tan and if people had followed his instructions we would have been promoted. If Tan had been in charge in 2008 we would have won the cup. And it's Bullets fault that Liverpool beat us in the league cup final. It's about time that people on here realise they know nothing about anything. Like Tan, I know everything and this board would be pathetic if it wasn't for me. And all you people who bet against your own team should be ashamed of yourselves.
    Boollet out, fans out.
