You cant compare that though can you Keepers mistakes are always more costly Thats the nature of the whole game Daft comparison And while he should have scored Its not a sitter when theres the keeper to beat
Maybe Macca is pissed about not getting on V TWS a few games ago - and is refusing to play? Clearly Rosie doesn't rate him and I would be surprised if he was here next season
Can anyone remember the name of that poster that would always mention a bumming? Need his return to cheer us up
Allsop is the 2nd worst keeper in the division that has played 90 minutes in terms of total xG faced vs goals conceded with a terrible score of -9.4. He is actually the worst in xG faced vs goals conceded per 90 minutes with -0.3. -Opta
I don't think it's just that he doesn't rate him, Macca is incredibly slow for how we wanted to play. Stick him in a side that defends with a low block often at this level and he'll look great (as he did for us)
I get that but didn’t Rosie say that he’d done that in the warm up? If that was the case it still doesn’t explain the chosen first eleven as he would have been available at that point.
That's the exact issue, the damage was done months ago failing to beat teams at home such as Birmingham, Swansea, Sunderland and Stoke. As people have said when we play the better teams we have more space to play and will get more chances. Our manager needs to be less stubborn and accept his 'system' won't work against everyone. We don't have a plan B. Last night was a great game of football and ended a fair result. If we are entertained like that every week I genuinely wouldn't care what league we are in. It was brilliant to watch.
Rosenior doesn’t rate McLoughlin but gave him a new three-year deal at the end of last season lmao. McLoughlin’s always been slow and moves like an oil tanker. This isn’t some revelation this season. If he doesn’t fit in with Rosenior’s playing style then why did he extend his contract?
He can do a certain job. I think clearly he isn't trusted to play in certain games, particularly when we're playing high and man-marking, as we usually do against better sides. Against the division's dross he's more trusted. If he's happy to be here as a backup on that basis then it's great. If he wants more games, then that makes the 3-year deal look less of a good idea for all involved. Only time will tell I suppose. But he signed it and I'm sure his standing was made clear to him at the time.
